While the pre-order window is open, we’re offering special pre-order pricing. Once pre-orders close, standard pricing will apply.

Friday already — and we’re another week closer to Labour Weekend! 💙

We’ve been a little quiet on here this week, but definitely not quiet in the shop… because our ChiaoGoo order has arrived! 🧶

A good range of knitting needles and sizes is now making its way onto the shelves, ready for our knitters.

And behind the scenes, the Oh Sew Eazy website and online store are being developed too, so there’s plenty happening even when you don’t see it on Facebook.

Another week down, another step closer to opening day.

Monday thought: You can never have too many projects on the go. Apparently we’ve taken that quite literally at Oh Sew Eazy 😂

Last week we went op shopping looking for kitchen items and got completely sidetracked by this brilliant display made from old doors. We loved the idea and would love to put our own Oh Sew Eazy spin on it.

So… does anyone have any old wooden doors tucked away that you’d be happy to part with? They don’t need to match — old, worn, painted or quirky is perfect.

WHO’S HERE FOR TULA PINK? 👀💗

Tula Pink’s new Down to Earth collection has just been revealed and it is gorgeous — moths, mushrooms, florals, bees, snails and all that glorious Tula colour.

We’re looking at bringing it to Oh Sew Eazy in 2027, so before we place our order we want to know… are you TEAM AFTERGLOW or TEAM DAYBREAK? Or are you refusing to choose? 😂

What a huge week we’ve had at Oh Sew Eazy 💚

Moni from uNiquely Hands Crafted came up from Tūrangi for a few days, initially to spend some one-to-one time with us getting to know some of the new toys that will be available in the shop. While she was here, she also got well and truly roped into the long list of jobs that come with opening a new store 😂 Moni will also be back to facilitate some of the workshops we’ll be running, so you’ll be seeing more of her.

We’ve had lots of lovely visitors popping in to see the shop taking shape, have a chat and share ideas with us — including a beautiful couple who called in today with some mugs after seeing our post asking for donated kitchen bits. That absolutely made our day.

We’ve also been incredibly lucky to have our wonderful volunteers Amanda and Brenda from the Whangamata Patch and Quilt Club helping with the unpacking, sorting and organising.

A huge thank you to everyone who has called in, lent a hand, donated something, shared an idea, offered encouragement or simply stopped to say hello. We’re not even officially open yet and already we’re seeing the kind of community we hoped Oh Sew Eazy would become.

One very big week down… and another week closer to Labour Weekend. 💚

Yesterday it was all about the fabric… today it’s all about the yarn 🧶

Countrywide Yarns is in the house including Purino Sock 4ply, Glenorchy, Windsor, Windsor Prints, Soft Cotton, Soft Cotton Prints and Lullaby in a heap of colours.

And for those asking about needles — the ChiaoGoo order is in, so they’re on the way too.

Knitting, crochet, baby yarns, cottons, sock yarn… it’s all starting to land.
