Kia ora whānau!
It’s been a little while, so I thought I’d share a bit about the person behind the crochet 🧶
Crochet actually started small for me about 11 years ago. It was just a way to slow down and quiet my busy brain by doing something with my hands. Between life and everything else that goes on, it became a peaceful little escape - especially being a young mama to two boys.
Believe it or not, I learned everything I know from YouTube and Pinterest. Many long days and late nights were spent watching tutorials, replaying videos over and over, and slowly figuring things out one project at a time. There have been heaps of failed attempts at stuffed animals, blankets, beanies - you name it!
What I didn’t expect was how much I’d fall in love with the process — choosing colours, seeing a piece come together stitch by stitch, and creating something that someone else might wear, use, or even keep as a special piece to pass on.
Now it’s turned into this little side adventure alongside my full-time job, and I’m so grateful for everyone who follows along, supports, or buys something I’ve made. It really means a lot knowing that something I’ve created with my own hands can become a unique piece in someone else’s life.
If you’ve been here a while, thank you 💖
And if you’re new here, welcome to my little crochet corner ✨
I’d love to know - how did you get into your favourite hobby?
