IT'S LEG WARMER SEASON!// Brrrr it's getting cold as we head closer to the winter solstice and the shortest day. Been knitting up some leg warmers for my kiddos and I - it is also a great way to use up yarn scraps by doing stripes!

REAL ONEZ DON'T USE AI//I've been inactive on this page for awhile while I sort out my life and balance a new part time employment and other contracts but I'm having a clearout of my kids wardrobes so will have a winter wardrobe drop coming in a couple of weeks!

EMBRACE A THRIFTY MINDSET FOR 2026// I have been a bit quiet on this page in awhile and part of that is thinking about how I go forward in these tough economic times. Retail has been slow for a lot of NZ small businesses and I have been thinking a lot how my ethos of this little business and how while yes it needs to make money but it is also more about promoting circular economy and making secondhand shopping accessible for busy mum's and dad's.

So I'm launching BUY NOTHING NEW 2026 campaign. It is also something I am trying to do myself as well as a challenge to my friends, family and followers. Save money also buy less single use or cheap clothes and embrace the thrift. Make 2026 the year you buy nothing new!

Whether it is freebies from places like the koha shed, opshops, clothes swaps with friends (these are great btw!) OR upcycling and mending your existing stuff. Repairing appliances instead of buying replacements where possible and recycling where not.

Embrace the thrift. Buy nothing new 2026.

Facebook finally approved the name change for this page so it aligns with my Instagram account and website. Earth Pēpi opshop for kids is now Earth Pēpi Reloved.

A name that also better aligns with the direction of this business as well as some of the community contribution work I am starting to do in Wairoa. Such as the Wairoa Koha Shed and a pay it forward free cleaning service for solo parents.
