❄️ POLAR BLAST MOVING UP THE SOUTH ISLAND ❄️🥶
The next Polar Blast is moving steadily up the South Island and is expected to reach the lower North Island from later Friday night into Saturday.
🌧️ WELLINGTON, WAIRARAPA & KĀPITI
Expect periods of rain and bitterly cold southerly winds from later Friday night. While it will certainly feel cold, this is nothing unusual for Wellingtonians... it's winter after all! 😄
🏉 SATURDAY SPORT
It'll be a chilly one for everyone out on the sports fields tomorrow, so make sure you rug up! Watch out for the odd hail shower too. Mean as when you're standing on the sports field in it—it reminds me of my younger days! 😂
❄️ REMUTAKA HILL ROAD (SH2)
There is a chance of sleety rain showers and brief snow flurries around the summit. If snow does develop, it is expected to be light and short-lived.
🌤️ SUNDAY
An easing trend is expected. It'll still be cold with bitterly chilly southerly winds, but fine spells should increase during the day. A few lingering showers and patches of cloud are still possible.
More updates to come.
Enjoy your day!
Thanks, Daniel 🙂
