My last night in Aubusson. So bitter sweet. I have said goodbye to my friends that I will not see again until next year, and this evening, with tears in my eyes, I have said goodbye to my little piece of France. I will be home soon, I will be so very happy to see you, I have missed you. It is happy and sad to love two worlds.

The treasures that I buy are actually not for you. I rescue them so that they are not forgotten and they do not turn to dust. If you find something in my shop that you like, please, only buy it if you love it, if you will give it a second chance at life. It is not new, it has faults and imperfections. But it has survived until now and perhaps you can see the beauty in it that I can.

A good day! If you have never sat on the side of the road, all day, just to watch a load of cyclists go past in the middle of France, well, I think you should!!

We are staying in a small town called Bugeat to watch a stage of the Tour de France tomorrow, but we didn't realize how small Bugeat was until we tried to have dinner. Oops, luckily there was a Carrefour Express which furnished us with ample food, and wine.
I even managed to find an unexpected brocante store and get a couple of treasures! All in all a great day. I am looking forward to tomorrow!

Oh, the relief!!!! Cool breeze, thunder, lightning and a bit (better than nothing) of rain. I love the smell of the dry earth soaking up the moisture. Creuse department in France. Come do a raindance with me! ⛈️⚡️
