A strong recognition of the medical professionals who provide critical leadership across emergency response, ambulance operations, medevac and training.
From a risk and safety perspective, effective pre-hospital care depends on more than clinical skill alone. It requires clear command systems, competent teams, reliable equipment, safe patient-handling procedures, strong communication and continuous training. Medical doctors play a vital role in strengthening these systems and improving outcomes during the most critical moments.
Thank you to the National St John Ambulance medical team for supporting safer communities and building greater emergency-response capability across Papua New Guinea. ππ
ππ Meet Our Ambulance Team: Our Medical Doctors
As we conclude our Meet Our Ambulance Team series, where we've introduced you to the dedicated professionals behind the uniform, we're proud to shine a spotlight on the exceptional medical doctors who help lead emergency pre-hospital care across Papua New Guinea.
Our Green Angels doctors play a critical role in delivering advanced emergency care. They provide clinical leadership across ambulance operations, medical evacuations (medivac) and training ensuring our patients receive the highest standard of care when it matters most.
National St John Ambulance is proud to have three full-time medical doctors, supported by a dedicated network of reservist ambulance doctors from major hospitals and Provincial Health Authorities across the country.
You can identify our doctors by the "Doctor" insignia displayed on their epaulettes.
The next time you meet one of our doctors, be sure to say hello and thank them for their commitment, professionalism, and the incredible work they do to keep our communities safe every day.
