We are learning how to crochet a coaster with shell stitch borders. I highly recommend that you use cotton or jute yarn when your making coasters, they are highly resistant to heat and cotton yarn absorbs moist better. Check out D&L Online Store and Chris Knits&Crafts for cotton yarns. They sell a whole variety.
