OPEN LETTER TO GOD
FROM A HOPEFUL AND OPTIMISTIC HEART
May 29, 2025 (Thursday) 04:00am

Dear GOD,

It’s me again — the dreamer You created, the soul You called by name, the heart that still beats with hope even when the path feels unclear.

I come to You today not to ask for more, but to surrender everything — my plans, my dreams, my fears, my ambitions. Lord, You know the desires tucked deep within me, the goals I have carefully mapped out, the prayers I’ve whispered through tears, and the hopes I’ve clung to like lifelines. But now, with a spirit ready to trust, I lay them all at Your feet.

Because more than anything, Lord, I want Your will — not mine.

Sometimes, I confess, it’s hard. My heart wants to move, to achieve, to build. But I’m learning that surrender is not weakness — it’s worship. I’m learning that to follow You is to walk not by sight but by faith. Like Abraham, who left everything familiar without knowing where You were leading him, I want to trust that where You lead is always better than where I planned to go.

Lord, I’m standing at a crossroads where plans collide with purpose, and dreams wrestle with divine delay. But I remember Joseph, whose dreams were deferred through betrayal, slavery, and prison — only to be fulfilled in ways beyond his imagination. If the pit was part of his purpose, then I will not fear the waiting. If delay was the hallway to the palace, then I will wait with expectation.

Give me wisdom like Solomon, not to build my own kingdom, but to discern what pleases You. Give me the courage of Esther, who faced uncertainty but said, “If I perish, I perish,” because she knew she was called for such a time as this. Let me be like Mary, who said “Let it be unto me according to Your word,” even when she didn’t understand how it would all unfold.

I know You have a plan for me — plans to prosper me, not to harm me; to give me hope and a future. I know that Your ways are higher than mine, and Your thoughts are not limited by what I can see. So even when the road looks like a dead end, remind me that You are the God who parted the Red Sea. Even when it feels like I’m running on empty, remind me that You are the God who turned a widow’s last drop of oil into overflow.

There are moments, Lord, when my heart is overwhelmed with “what ifs” and “how longs.” But I choose today to silence those voices and lean into the truth that You are faithful. That even when I can’t trace Your hand, I can trust Your heart.

Take every plan I’ve made, Lord, and filter it through Your perfect will. If it’s not meant for me, take it away gently. If it is, then breathe life into it with Your timing. Close every door not meant for me, and open the ones that lead me closer to You.

I surrender my future, my relationships, my career, my calling — everything. Because I know that You write better stories than I ever could. Stories like Ruth’s, who thought all was lost but found redemption. Stories like David’s, who was overlooked by men but chosen by You. Stories like Paul’s, who traded his old identity to run the race for You.

So here I am, Lord. Empty of control, but full of trust. My hands are open, my heart is expectant, and my soul is anchored in You. Lead me, guide me, break me if You must — but build me back for Your glory.

And when the time is right — not by my watch, but by Your perfect timing — make all things beautiful, just like You promised.

I’m Yours, Lord.

Forever trusting.
Forever surrendering.
Forever Yours.

IT'S ME AGAIN,
KING DAVID 👑

AN OPEN LETTER TO GOD
FROM A TROUBLED AND RESTLESS MIND
May 28, 2025 (Wednesday) 06:53am

Dear GOD,

It’s me again.

I come before You, not with eloquent words or polished prayers, but with a heart that’s heavy and a spirit that’s tired. You’ve seen me cry in the silence, You’ve heard the prayers I could never say aloud, and You know the battles I’ve been quietly fighting. And so I come to You — the Waymaker, the Miracle Worker, the Promise Keeper — to ask, once again, “Lord, please make a way.”

There are times, Lord, when the weight of everything feels like too much. The doors I hoped would open have stayed shut. The answers I’ve been praying for seem so far away. I feel stuck in the wilderness of uncertainty — much like the Israelites when they stood at the edge of the Red Sea, the enemy closing in behind them, no way forward in sight. But You, O God, split the sea. You turned the impossible into a pathway. You made a way where there was no way.

I’m holding onto that, Lord. I’m holding onto You.
Like the widow of Zarephath, who thought she only had one last meal left before death, You proved that what little we have becomes more than enough in Your hands. You turned her last into a beginning. And so here I am with the little strength, the little hope, the little courage I have left — asking You to multiply it into a breakthrough.

You were with Joseph when betrayal and prison became his story, yet You turned his pain into purpose and raised him to the palace. So Lord, even in this season of delay and difficulty, I choose to trust that You are working in the background, orchestrating every detail, shaping every moment into something meaningful.

I remember, too, how You met the woman with the issue of blood — how for twelve long years she suffered, spent everything, and had nothing left but hope. Yet when she reached for Your robe, healing came. I reach for You now, Lord. I don’t ask for riches or recognition. I ask for rest in the storm, peace in the pain, and Your presence in my problems.

You said You are the God who makes rivers in the desert and roads in the wilderness. My life feels like a desert now — dry, weary, and uncertain — but I believe You can rain down manna again. I believe You can bring water from this rock I’m facing. I believe You are the same God yesterday, today, and forever.

Lord, make a way through these trials. Whether it’s in my career, my finances, my health, my heart, or my relationships — shine light on the path I cannot see. Open doors that only You can open. Heal wounds that only You can heal. Break chains that only You can break.

I know You didn’t promise life without storms — but You did promise to be in the boat with me. You promised to never leave nor forsake. You promised that all things work together for good to those who love You. And I do love You, Lord, even in this broken, bleeding season.

Please hear me, O God who bends down to listen. I am not asking to avoid the fire, but to walk through it with You. I am not asking for a life without mountains, but for the strength to climb them. I’m not asking to escape the night, but to see Your stars in the darkness.

Prove once again, Lord, that You are my Waymaker. That You are my Miracle Worker. That You are my Promise Keeper.

I wait with hope. I weep with trust. I walk by faith.

IT'S ME AGAIN,
KING DAVID 👑

AN OPEN LETTER FROM A GRATEFUL HEART
THANKING GOD FOR THE GIFT OF RELATIONSHIPS
May 27, 2025 (Tuesday), 8:09am

DEAR GOD,

I come before You not with requests today, but with a heart bursting at the seams with thank You. Words may tremble in their effort to carry the weight of this gratitude, but still—I must try.

You, O Lord, have seen me in every season. You’ve watched as I wandered through fields of joy and valleys of sorrow. Like David tending sheep in the quiet hills of Bethlehem, there were days I felt unseen—insignificant. And yet, just as You looked upon David’s heart and called him worthy, You have looked upon mine with kindness and surrounded me with love I did not earn.

You gave me people.

Not just any people—earthly angels, reflections of Your heart, carriers of Your compassion. People who walk with me not just in celebration, but in the shadows. People who do not flee when the storms come, but press in—willing to walk the extra mile, even when the path is steep.

I see them, Lord, and I see You.

You placed around David the mighty men—warriors of valor and loyalty—who stood by him in caves and chaos. You gave him Jonathan, a soul knit to his, whose love surpassed all understanding. You gave him Abigail, whose wisdom steadied his spirit. You gave him those who believed in the promise You had placed within him, even when the world saw only a fugitive.

And now, I see that You have done the same for me.

In every hand that has held mine, in every voice that has spoken life into my weariness, in every act of selfless love—I see the fingerprints of Heaven. They are living proof that Your goodness is not confined to the pages of Scripture but is alive and active today. They are psalms in motion, hymns wrapped in human form.

They are testimonies of Your faithfulness, and I am undone.

God, You have not only sustained me with bread and breath—but with people who carry Your spirit. They have prayed for me when I had no words. They have believed in me when I could barely believe in myself. They have been the army behind my battle cry, the arms that held me when I had no strength to stand.

And so, like David, I lift my voice and my heart in praise. I say: "Who am I, O Sovereign Lord, and what is my family, that You have brought me this far?" (2 Samuel 7:18). I am overwhelmed by Your grace.

Let this letter be my altar today. Let it rise as incense before You—a song of thanksgiving for what You’ve done, and for those You've sent. May every name, every face, every soul You’ve used to bless me be touched by the same kindness they have poured out. Bless them richly, Lord. Let their cup overflow.

Thank You for being the God who sees, the God who sends, the God who saves—not just from giants and enemies, but from loneliness and despair.

You are my Shepherd. And through these people, You have led me beside still waters.

My bestfriend once said,
THERE IS A REASON FOR EVERYTHING.
May 26, 2026 6:49pm

Dear LORD,

Today, I come before You not with eloquence, but with the raw trembling of my soul. I kneel with questions that echo louder than my praise, with tears that blur the vision of Your promises, and with a heart heavy from delayed hopes and postponed dreams.

Why, LORD? Why do the things I carefully plan, with such earnest intention and pure motives, so often fall apart? Why do the days I circle on the calendar with hope get crossed out by disappointment instead? Every time I think I’m finally moving forward, a new challenge rises. A fresh trial, a heavier burden, another detour. I’ve begun to feel like I no longer understand the rhythm of this life You’ve written for me.

But today, I pause. And I remember something—no, someone. My best friend often tells me, “There’s a reason for everything.” I used to nod. Now I listen. I’m beginning to see that maybe… just maybe… every delay is not a denial, but divine design.

LORD, I think of Joseph, sold by his brothers, imprisoned for a crime he didn’t commit, forgotten by those he helped. For years, it must have looked like You had turned away from him. But behind every delay was destiny. Behind every setback, a setup—for preservation, for purpose, for glory.

I remember Job, who lost everything—his children, his wealth, his health. He sat in ashes, asking why, just as I do now. But in the end, You restored him. You gave him more than he had before. Because he held on. Because even through his questions, he worshiped.

I think of David, anointed king as a young boy but hunted like a criminal for years. He hid in caves, cried out in psalms, questioned Your presence—yet never stopped seeking Your heart. And when the throne was finally his, he ruled not just with power, but with a soul molded by suffering.

And Jesus… Your Son. Oh, LORD, even He cried out, “My God, my God, why have You forsaken me?” The sinless One knew the sting of abandonment. The pain of unanswered questions. Yet through His wounds came our healing. Through His surrender came our salvation.

So here I am. Tired of resisting. Tired of trying to write the story myself. I surrender.

I surrender my timelines, my control, my desperate need to understand. I surrender the bitterness that tries to bloom in the soil of delay. I give You the calendar I scribbled on, the goals I set, the plans that now lie in ruins. I place them all at Your feet.

Maybe I don’t need to understand every “why” right now. Maybe it’s enough to know Who holds the pen.

LORD, if delays are the chisels that sculpt my character, then let them come. If trials are the flames that purify, then burn away the parts of me that resist. If broken plans are the cracks through which Your light shines, then break me and make me whole again in You.

Help me to trust that Your “no” is often a “not yet”—or a redirection to something better.

My best friend is right. There is a reason for everything. And even if I never see it clearly on this side of heaven, I will hold fast to the truth that You are good. Always good. Even when I don’t understand.

So I say it now, not with trembling but with trust:

“Into Your hands, I commit everything.”
My dreams. My disappointments. My delays.
My pain. My process. My purpose.

Have Your way, LORD. Mold me. Break me. Heal me. Use me.

KING DAVID 👑
