Rogue’s Passage: Bayombong

This weekend, a few of us headed to Rogue's Passage (Pampanga) for MTG Secrets of Strixhaven Draft.

We also turned it into a little staycation—rented a villa, brought board games, Magic decks, and spent the weekend doing what we enjoy most: gaming with friends.

Moments like these are a reminder that hobbies aren’t just about the games themselves. They’re about the people, the stories, and the communities built around them.

As we continue building Rogue’s Passage – Bayombong, that’s the kind of atmosphere we’d love to see grow in Nueva Vizcaya.

Visited Bayombong this weekend and got to teach a new player how to play Magic: The Gathering.

A few other players also dropped by and we ended up running a casual pod with beginner-friendly decks.

Honestly really happy to see that there’s interest in MTG around Nueva Vizcaya.

Still early, but slowly building the community one game at a time.

We are in Bayombong from time to time (to plan the LGS), so if there’s enough interest we can organize a simple beginner-friendly session.

Our custom gaming table build 🎲

*For those asking where the gaming table came from.

We had a pretty specific setup in mind for tabletop nights—something that works for MTG, board games, and long TTRPG sessions. A lot of custom furniture shops weren’t willing to take on the project.

Industrial Manila Furniture stepped up and absolutely nailed it.

The build quality is fantastic and the table is perfect for serious game nights.

If you’re planning your own tabletop setup, definitely give them a look.
