☕️🤎✨CACAO TO BEVERAGE 101: CRAFTING AUTHENTIC CHOCOLATE

A successful Cacao to Beverage 101 with the World Affairs Council on August 12, 2026 🇺🇸 at The Stirling Club in Las Vegas.

What a truly inspiring evening! Raquel Choa, The Chocolate Queen, started the event with a traditional tablea-making demonstration, followed by a cacao session with Edu Pantino, Cacao Educator and Co-Founder & COO of The Chocolate Chamber. JP Choa, Cacao Artist, also showcased his cacao artworks. Together, their roles brought education, artistry, and advocacy to the forefront in celebrating Philippine cacao.

To Hon. Con. Astra of Lithuania 🇱🇹, Hon. Con. Lena of Sweden 🇸🇪, the World Affairs Council Las Vegas, Stirling Club member Janis Bovina, and all our guests who attended and supported this Cacao to Beverage 101 by The Chocolate Chamber as part of the World Affairs Council’s Speaker Series—thank you so much!

Thank you, ConGen Adelio Cruz, Philippine Consul General to Los Angeles, and HonCon Amie Belmonte (Nevada), for this wonderful chocolate connection.

From the Philippines to the world, we continue to share our cacao story—from bean to beverage, from heritage to heart. 🍫🇵🇭☕️

What a beautiful chapter to look back on—and an even more beautiful journey to continue.

Beyond Chocolate: The Calling of Raquel Choa

For many, chocolate is a beloved indulgence. For Raquel Choa, it is something far greater—it is the instrument of her calling.

Known for her unwavering passion for cacao, Raquel has dedicated her life’s work to a mission she simply calls the 3Cs: Creator. Country. Cacao. Every step of her journey is rooted in honoring God, serving her the Philippines, and sharing the story of cacao with the world.

An artist by heart and soul, Raquel often says, “Chocolate is my medium.” Through chocolate, she paints stories of heritage, culture, faith, and identity. Every cup of tsokolatè, every handcrafted tablea, and every chocolate experience she creates carries the spirit of the land and the people behind it.

Her journey, however, did not begin in a chocolate factory or culinary school. It began in the mountains of Cebu, where, at the age of seven, she was first introduced to cacao. What seemed like a simple childhood encounter would quietly plant the seeds of a lifelong purpose.

Years later, in 2008, Raquel experienced a defining moment when she realized that cacao—the fruit she had known since childhood—is the very heart of chocolate. That realization transformed her perspective. Chocolate became more than a craft or a business; it became a language through which she could share Philippine heritage, empower farming communities, creating new business opportunities and build bridges across cultures.

The path has not always been easy. It has demanded faith, courage, resilience, perseverance, and countless sacrifices. Yet when people commend her determination, Raquel gently redirects the praise.

“I call it grace.”

For her, every opportunity, every challenge overcome, and every milestone reached is a reminder that purpose unfolds through God’s grace.

Today, Raquel continues to bring Philippine cacao to the international stage—not merely to promote a product, but to celebrate a nation, preserve generations of tradition, and inspire meaningful conversations through chocolate.

On August 12, she embarks on another significant chapter as she has been invited to deliver a presentation at the World Affairs Council Speaker Series in Las Vegas through the invitation of Immediate Past President Consul Lena Walther (Sweden) and Honorary Consul Astra Juliana Michels (Lithuania). The gathering reflects how cacao has become more than a commodity—it has become a platform for cultural diplomacy, friendship, and global collaboration.

For Raquel Choa, Beyond Chocolate is more than a personal philosophy. It is a movement that reminds us that purpose can begin with something as humble as a cacao bean. When nurtured with faith, love, and grace, it can transcend borders, connect people, preserve heritage, and leave a legacy for generations to come.

It was truly a privilege to share this chocolatey moment on July 27, 2026.

We proudly introduced our 7 Kinds of Tsokolaté—Americana, Peruvian, Venezuelan, Guatemalan, Brazilian, Dominican, and Colombian—thoughtfully developed by our Batidores, Angelie, inspired by our journey across the United States and the rich chocolate traditions we encountered through visits to consulates, meetings with diplomats, and conversations with cacao enthusiasts from around the world.🌎 ☕️✨

Heartfelt thanks to Otonomus Hotel for hosting us, Hon. Con. Amie Belmonte for her support, Pilipino Bisaya Society of Nevada President Achi Marian Pearson, Jean Celemin, and the trustees for spearheading the invitations, former Philippine Ambassador to Qatar Beth Pono for inviting her family and relatives, and to everyone who joined us despite the short notice.

Together, we continue sharing cacao stories and cultures—one cup of Tsokolaté at a time. ☕️🤎🍫

On July 17, 2026, at the beautiful and iconic Cerritos Library in California, The Chocolate Chamber family had the privilege of sharing the bedtime story that Raquel Choa’s beloved grandmother, Nanay Nila, told her when she was just seven years old in the mountains of Balamban, Cebu—the very place where her chocolate journey began.

Held in a library renowned for its inspiring architecture and its commitment to learning, culture, and the power of stories, the event became a meaningful celebration of Philippine cacao heritage. Alongside the storytelling, Cacao Ambassador-at-Large Raquel Choa, also recognized as a third-generation tablea maker, demonstrated the traditional art of crafting tablea, while Angelie, a fourth-generation Batidores, invited guests to experience this cherished tradition firsthand, bringing the rich history and heritage of Philippine cacao to life.

The occasion served as a reminder that chocolate is far more than something to taste. It is a story to preserve, a tradition to pass on, and a legacy that continues to inspire generations across cultures and beyond borders.

The Chocolate Chamber family extends its heartfelt gratitude to Sue Ann and Dr. Cesar for making this memorable opportunity possible, and to Mayor Lynda Provido Johnson and the City of Cerritos for their warm hospitality and gracious welcome.

Daghang salamat!

Seeing him carry our story with such conviction reminded us that this vision has become a living legacy, now being passed on to the next generation.

Thank you for trusting us to be part of your guests’ journey. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to share the richness of Philippine cacao, culture, and heritage through every experience. 🤎✨☕️
