I’ve been in the remote industry for more or less 15 years.
And I keep hearing:
“VA rates haven’t increased.”
At the entry level, that can feel very real. 🥹
But here’s what I’ve personally experienced:
My income didn’t stay the same as when I started.
Not because the market magically improved.
But because I evolved with it. 🎯
🆗 I moved from task ex*****on to systems thinking.
🆗 From assistance to integration.
🆗 From support roles to strategic contribution.
The remote industry today has layers.
☑️ There’s space for beginners.
☑️ There’s space for specialists.
☑️ There’s space for systems architects.
But they’re not priced the same — and they shouldn’t be.
AI is now accelerating this divide even further.
Basic tasks are becoming automated.
Strategic thinking is becoming more valuable.‼️
Maybe the conversation shouldn’t be:
“Why is the industry broken?” 😭
Maybe it should be:
“How do we grow with it?” ⁉️🤔
I genuinely believe the opportunity is still massive. 💚💚
But only if we’re willing to level up with the market.
Curious to hear your thoughts. 🤔
