These past few days, weโve been spacing out and talking about this a lot. Itโs been so hard to focus or do anything because of everything happening in the Philippines. Itโs heavy, and it hurts. Corruption is unfair, and corruption is inhumane. So inhumane it makes us cry blood from the disappointment we feel towards our own countymen.
Filipinos are drowning in floods while the corrupt are swimming in luxury. They are heartless and shameless. And we ask ourselvesโฆ how many more lives have to be lost or made to suffer before we finally say, enough?
We are workers, students, entrepreneurs, OFWs, Filipinos who hustle and sacrifice every day. We pay our share. And yet, the money meant for the people keeps getting stolen. That is unethical, disgusting, and just. not. right.
We canโt stay quiet anymore. Because silence only lets them win more. But when we speak up, we give hope. We have to use our platforms to demand accountability, to spread awareness, and to remind every Filipino that we deserve better. If they pretend not to hear us, letโs shout until they canโt ignore us anymore.
This fight belongs to all of us. Normalize shaming corruption. Shame to all who continue to steal from the people.
If corruption is loud, THEN WE WILL BE LOUDER. ๐ต๐ญ
