Another Showdown, Another Elemental Sighting~

For this week's Standard Showdown, Ali continues his winning streak using his Izzet Spellementals!

None were able to match his output as his opponents fell one after the other.

Rounding out the top spot is Jan Rey with Mono Black Midrange and Neil with Momo White.

Draw Card Meta~

Last Sunday Night, another On-Demand Commander Night ventured forth. On this night, the experimental commander came and stacked his way to victory.

Props to Neil with his commander Loran of the Third Path for claiming the pod victory. He was able to get his draw engine active early and slowly build his token army to eliminate his opponents.

Let's go ahead and enjoy the Commander format here at Top Deck - Iligan. On to the next Commander Night scheduled this Thursday.

Journeying Through Middle-earth~

For this week's Friday Night Magic, we ventured into Middle-earth with our fresh The Hobbit Constructed format. Each wizard will only play cards spefically from The Hobbit set.

On this night, the aggressively ferocious Golgari Wolves came and ripped apart the battlefield! This deck was helmed by Neil whose best card is the Bejeweled Warg.

Rounding out the top spots is Paulo with Boros Dwarves and Ali with Azorius Humans.

Twice The Fun!

For this week's Commander Night, two pods set sail but surprisingly, one winner. Congratulations to Neil for winning both pods with different commanders!

For pod 1, it was a boatload as 5 commanders were vying for the top spot. This pod ended quite fast as a huge spell was casted and brought down the life totals of each player then, Raph and Mikey, Troublemakers came out and brought big friends with them to eliminate one commander, one battle phase at a time.

For pod 2, a normal 4-man pod with each commander making use of their commanders' abilities to its fullest. At the end of the day, the one that lasted was Celes, Rune Knight.

On this night, we were able to see Justin maneuver his commander Kellan, the Fae-Blooded through rough stretches and eventually eliminate his opponent with maximum damage.

Sunday Draft!

We ended last week with an exclusive Sunday The Hobbit Draft with 8 wizards making use of Magic the Gathering’s latest expansion.

On this night, it was Ai that takes the top spot with an Azorius Recruitment type deck that features Bard the Bowman.

Rounding out the top spots is Jovhan and Neil with both of them creating a Golgari Aggro deck.
