Those were the words of a customer while looking at one of my pendants.

It stayed with me.

I couldn't help but feel there's something special about that person. Maybe she simply sees beauty differently. Maybe she sees value where most people would look away.

It takes a unique perspective to appreciate something because of its imperfections.

I've been trying to understand what that says about a person.

I take this very seriously. I've met so many people with creative hands and wonderful ideas who hide their artworks and others who stop creating because someone made them believe that art isn't for everyone. They're afraid their work isn't "valid" enough to be called art.

Imagine a bud never being allowed to bloom into a flower.
Imagine a garden without flowers.
Now imagine a community without art.

Creativity should be encouraged, not restricted by someone else's definition of what art should be.

Whether it's a song, a painting, a sculpture, or any kind of craft.
If you're reading this, go create those little ideas and let the world see them.
