Apple Pay is finally here in the Philippines, but hindi lahat ng iPhone at setup ay ready out of the box. Before you can use it, here's a quick checklist:

✅ iPhone 6 or newer
✅ Updated to the latest version of iOS
✅ Supported credit or debit card from a participating bank
✅ Card successfully added to Apple Wallet
✅ Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode enabled

May Apple Watch ka? It's not just for notifications, workouts, or checking the time ⌚

All Apple Watch models support Apple Pay. Before you start using it for tap to pay, make sure that:

✅ Your Apple Watch is paired with a compatible iPhone
✅ Your credit or debit card is supported by Apple Pay
✅ Your card has been successfully added to Apple Wallet
✅ Passcode is enabled on your Apple Watch

Once everything is set up, you can pay directly using your Apple Watch at terminals that accept Apple Pay. Hindi mo na kailangan ilabas pa yung wallet o iPhone mo every time you pay.

Finally, Apple Pay is here, Pilipinas! 🇵🇭🍎

As of the evening of August 3, 2026, we’ve confirmed through actual testing that select Philippine-issued cards can now be added to Apple Wallet and successfully used with Apple Pay for tap-to-pay transactions.

Wala pang official announcement from Apple or any of the participating banks, so mukhang Apple Pay support is quietly starting to roll out ahead of the official launch. For now, availability may still depend on your bank and card, so hindi pa lahat supported.
