"Can you set up a wedding for 120 guests in one hour?" Sure! šŸ˜…

But what you don’t see in the final photos is everything that happened before them.

Our team was already up and about by 5 AM, preparing the flowers, arranging the centerpieces, and getting every little detail ready because we only had one hour to transform the venue.

We spent about seven hours creating all the floral arrangements, then brought everything to the venue and got straight to work. From an empty hall to a fully styled reception in less than an hour — just enough time for everything to be ready when the couple arrived. šŸ«¶šŸ»

And honestly, Bea and David were such a bliss to work with.

They simply sent me their mood board and trusted me with the rest. They gave me the freedom to style their reception and trusted me to bring their vision to life, which I’m so grateful for.

But what I loved most was how intentional they were about their guests.

They had little customized toiletries prepared in the bathrooms — tissues, essentials, and thoughtful little details that most people wouldn’t even think about. They also had a DIY scrapbook for their guest book, something simple but personal that their guests could actually make a part of.

David and Bea, thank you for trusting us with such an important part of your day. It was such a joy to create this with you. šŸ¤

During one of my discovery calls, a client mentioned how much she loved that our captions tell the stories behind our events.

And that made me realize that this is something I want to keep doing.

We don’t really need to describe the styling too much — that’s what the photos are for. But behind every setup is a person, a story, a little idea, and someone who trusted us enough to bring it to life.

As a small and still-growing event stylist, I want to remember every single person who trusted my vision and my craft to be part of one of the most important days of their lives. šŸ¤

So today, this one is for Claudine’s Sweet 16 (x2)! :)

When I first met Claudine during our discovery call, I honestly thought we were styling a literal Sweet 16. šŸ˜‚ She looked so young! She was also one of the kindest and chillest clients. She literally just said, ā€œtropical theme,ā€ and that was it! šŸ˜…

It was an intimate dinner with close family and friends, with a tropical theme — which felt especially fitting because it had been raining nonstop that entire week. After all those cold, rainy days, this little tropical dinner felt like a breath of fresh air.

I met Claudine once more during a quick 5-minute ocular, showed her the designs, and she approved. No more follow-ups. No second-guessing. She trusted us wholeheartedly to bring it all together. šŸ«¶šŸ»

She also wanted a giant crossword puzzle for her guests to answer (which I honestly had fun trying to solve it myself) šŸ˜…

Thank you, Claudine, for trusting us with your celebration and for giving us the freedom to create!

And a special thank you to Den of Toma Toma Restaurant in Makati for being so accommodating all throughout. šŸ¤

Here’s to remembering the people behind every beautiful setup. ✨

Intimate doesn’t mean effortless—it means intentional.

Many people assume smaller celebrations are easier and less expensive. The truth is, every detail matters even more. With fewer guests, each element has to feel purposeful, cohesive, and personal.

It’s not about filling a space with more. It’s about choosing the right things, editing with intention, and creating an experience that feels meaningful from start to finish.

One small thing we’re changing at Wonder House.

Starting today, we will no longer require crew meals for any of our events.

One question we often get from clients is whether they need to provide meals for our team. When we tell them they don’t, it’s always a relief.

We’ve decided to make it simple: our team is our responsibility. We’ll make sure they’re well taken care of, so you don’t have to worry about it or add it to your event budget. šŸ«¶šŸ»

We know every event comes with many expenses, and if there’s one less thing for our clients to think about, we’re happy to do it. Our rates remain the same, with no additional charges. šŸ‘ŒšŸ¼

We look forward to creating beautiful celebrations with you while making the planning process just a little bit easier. šŸ¤

Glo & Patrick’s birthday šŸ’œ

This was one of those events that looked effortless in the end, but took so much planning behind the scenes. šŸ˜…

The brief was simple: purple. The challenge was making it feel elegant without letting the flowers overpower the room.

What made it even more challenging was that we only had two hours to set up 😭 Most people think intimate events are quick to style, but they’re not. Every detail still matters. So my team and I prepared everything by 5am, from buying the fresh flowers to creating the centerpieces and the floral arches, so once we arrived at 2pm, it was all about assembling and styling. šŸ’ŖšŸ¼

The family was so hands-on throughout the entire planning process. They prepared tokens for their guests, set up their own souvenir station, brought their own pieces to style the registration and cake tables, and even purchased gold utensils at the very last minute because they wanted every detail be just right! You could really see how much love and effort went into making this celebration special. šŸ«¶šŸ»

It reminded me that beautiful events are the result of a family that cares deeply, clients who trust the process, and a team willing to give everything they have.

Seeing their messages after the event made every early morning, every rushed setup, and every minute of preparation completely worth it. šŸ’œ

Last week, my niece Elise turned one, and we had the joy of styling her very first birthday. Seeing our little Elise in Wonderland come to life made this celebration even more meaningful for our family and friends šŸ«¶šŸ»

A little different from our usual weddings and birthday celebrations. This time, we got to style Rockwell Land’s Mid-Year Groove. 🪩

The brief was simple: Disco, but keep it understated. No flashy installations. No oversized props. The vinyl shelves had to stay minimal, and the floral centerpieces were intentionally kept small. It was all about creating the right mood without overdoing it.

It’s an honor to be trusted by one of the country’s most respected companies, and we’re grateful to have brought their vision to life. šŸ«¶šŸ»

Kiddie parties always make me a little anxious.

There are just so many elements to think about—the balloons, the colors, the props, the florals. It’s easy for everything to feel too much, and the challenge is making it look cohesive instead of scattered. Magical, but still clean. Fun, but still beautiful.

I only met Leeana once during the ocular. She showed me the pegs, shared that she wanted a whimsical tea party for her baby girl’s first birthday, and that was it.

šŸ«¶šŸ» Side comment—she looked sooo young, blooming, and beautiful (and she’s a mommy of 3!) šŸ«¶šŸ»

The biggest challenge was creating something whimsical but simple. Usually, whimsical themes are filled with layers and layers of decor, but we wanted this one to feel light, intentional, and effortless.

Because simple doesn’t mean boring. It doesn’t mean cheap.

It means every flower, every decor, every little detail has a reason for being there.

Looking at how everything came together, I think we found that balance—a whimsical garden tea party that still felt calm, clean, and thoughtfully put together.

ā€œIkaw na bahala.ā€

Every time Lorilyn would send us pegs, color palettes, or little details she loved, our conversations would somehow end with the same sentence. ā€œIkaw na bahala Ms. Jaya I trust you.ā€

At first, it felt like a compliment. But as the wedding drew closer, those words became something much bigger. They became a responsibility.

Because when someone trusts you with one of the most important days of their lives, you’re no longer just choosing flowers or arranging tables. You’re creating the place where memories will be made. Where families will laugh together, where friends will celebrate, and where two people will begin a new chapter.

When we finally saw everything come together, and later received Lorilyn’s message telling us it was everything they imagined—and even more—it reminded us why we do what we do.

To Earvin and Lorilyn, thank you for believing in us long before the reception came to life. Thank you for giving us the freedom to tell your story through design.
