The Edward Piguet ref. 25799OR feels very different from the usual AP pieces people immediately think of. The curved rectangular case already gives it a completely different presence on the wrist, but the dial is what really makes the watch interesting. The guilloché texture catches light nicely, the applied numerals add a bit of depth, and the subdial layout gives it a more balanced look overall. 👌

Truly a unique piece you don’t come across often.

A 1998 GMT-Master II “Coke” ref. 16710 with a bezel that’s started to fade over time, giving the red a softer tone. It’s the kind of detail that makes these older GMTs interesting - they slowly take on their own character depending on how they’ve been worn through the years.

Still one of the most versatile sports Rolex references, just with a bit more personality now. Now available at The Watch Reserve.

The Daytona has always had its foot in the world of motorsport. Timing laps, reading speed, being part of the drive - that’s where it comes from. The racing dial brings that side out a bit more, and even in white gold, it keeps that same purpose.

These aren’t the usual pieces people think of when it comes to Rolex and AP, but that’s exactly what makes them interesting.

The Cellini stands out quietly with its burlwood dial, where no two patterns are ever the same, while the AP Regulator takes a completely different approach by separating the hours, minutes, and seconds across the dial.

They’re simple ideas on paper, just executed in a way you don’t come across often. Best appreciated in person at The Watch Reserve.
