Sharing my experience capturing the intense atmosphere of the Makabayan Endurance Race Challenge Series – Kagitingan Cup at the Batangas Racing Circuit, using the Sony A6700 paired with the Tamron 18-300mm F3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD.

Despite the grueling weather and the demanding conditions of an endurance race, the lens certainly held its own and delivered throughout the event. From trackside action to distant details, it gave me the versatility I needed to capture the race.

After putting it through this kind of challenge, the Tamron 18-300mm has definitely earned a spot on our bucket list.

For Team MSCC Mazda 09, last weekend's 8-Hour Endurance Race Challenge Series – Kagitingan Cup was more than just another race. It was a test of patience, teamwork, and the determination to keep going when things get tough.

Every lap was a collective effort—from the young drivers behind the wheel to everyone working tirelessly behind the scenes. Together, they pushed through and came away with three 1st Runner-Up finishes:

4-Hour Endurance Race – Class 1
8-Hour Endurance Race – Class 1
8-Hour Endurance Race – Overall Class

For a young team, these podiums are a milestone—and a reminder that progress isn't always about how fast you get there, but having the courage to keep going.

4 & 8 HOURS OF ENDURANCE — THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE RACE

Endurance racing is more than just horsepower, speed, and crossing the finish line. Behind every lap are the drivers, mechanics, engineers, and team managers whose strength, dedication, and determination keep the race alive.

For hours, they battle not only the competition but also mechanical failures, tire wear, changing track conditions, fatigue, and unexpected setbacks. The drivers push their limits lap after lap, while the mechanics work tirelessly under pressure to keep the car running. Meanwhile, the team managers and crew make critical decisions to keep everyone focused on one goal.

There will always be obstacles, but what defines an endurance team is how they respond, adapt, and keep fighting. Every problem becomes a challenge to overcome, and every setback becomes another reason to push harder.

Because in a 4- or 8-hour race, victory isn't measured only by who is fastest. It is measured by who can endure, overcome every hurdle, and refuse to stop until the final lap.

The car may cross the finish line, but it is the people behind the car who make the journey possible.

This is endurance racing.
This is teamwork.
This is dedication.
This is the will to finish.
