PART 1: BASIC EDUCATION (K-12) - DEPED PROPOSAL

A. ACADEMIC CALENDAR OVERVIEW
- Total School Days: 201 Days
- School Opening: Early June 2026
- School Closing: Late March 2027
B. TERM BREAKDOWN (PROPOSED)
1. FIRST TRIMESTER (June β September 2026)
- Focus: Opening exercises + Instructional Block.
- Duration: Approx. 3 months.
- Ending: Followed by an Enrichment Block.
2. SECOND TRIMESTER (September β December 2026)
- Focus: Instructional Block + Pre-Christmas activities.
- Duration: Approx. 3 months.
- Break: Christmas Break begins after this term.
3. THIRD TRIMESTER (January β March 2027)
- Focus: Final Instructional Block + Year-end Assessment.
- Duration: Approx. 3 months.
- Ending: Enrichment Block for remediation/graduation prep.
C. KEY STRUCTURAL CHANGES
- Instructional Blocks (54β61 days): Protected time for direct
teaching; no pull-outs or non-academic disruptions.
- Enrichment Blocks: Dedicated weeks at the end of each term for:
* Student Remediation (Catch-up plans).
* Teacher Admin Tasks (Grading, Forms).
* Wellness Breaks.
- Integrated Observances: Events like "Buwan ng Wika" are
integrated into lessons rather than separate events.

- Classes start: Late August or Early September 2026
- Ends: Before Christmas Break

- Filing: 5 days in advance (except emergencies).
- Note: Non-cumulative and cannot be converted to cash.
