Hi Everyone,
Your titos and tita from Team GOUT—este, Team GOAT—would like to share a few important reminders as we prepare for DLC Manila this weekend!
Card Sleeves
Ensure your sleeves are not transparent or semi-transparent, especially where the Lorcana logo on the back of the cards may be visible. Dark-colored sleeves or dual matte sleeves are strongly recommended. Sleeves must also be free of bends, tears, or any visible markings. We also recommend refraining from using sleeves featuring other IPs, as they may cause issues with the event organizers.
Extra Sleeves
Bring additional sleeves in case you need to replace any that become damaged or marked during the event.
Decklist Preparation
Complete your decklist in advance. As the decklist submission process has not yet been confirmed, we recommend preparing a printed or handwritten copy as a backup in case one is required during check-in. Before the event, double-check that your physical deck matches your submitted decklist exactly.
Deck Box Contents
Your deck box should contain only your tournament deck. Do not include extra cards, side cards, or promo cards.
Playmat Policy
It is best to use official Disney Lorcana playmats. If you do not have one, we recommend using a plain or generic playmat without branding or markings related to other TCGs.
Judge Calls
Always call a judge immediately if you are unsure how to proceed, especially in situations involving take-backs, card interactions, or other unclear game states. If you encounter a card in Chinese or another language that you cannot read, call a judge for assistance rather than using your phone to look it up.
Clear Communication
Clearly communicate all game actions. As this is an international and high rules enforcement level event, do not assume your opponent understands your intentions without verbal confirmation.
Hydration
Stay hydrated throughout the day, dehydration leads to misplays. Bringing a tumbler or refillable water bottle is highly recommended.
Food & Snacks
Bring snacks, especially for longer rounds (control players, this means you!). Protein bars, granola bars, or bananas are good options, as it may be difficult to buy and eat food between rounds.
Personal Belongings
Always keep track of your belongings. With a large number of attendees in the venue, it’s best to stay alert and cautious.
Event Check-In
Don’t forget to complete your check-in the day before the event (Day 0). Make sure you carefully read and follow the instructions provided by the organizers.
PS: Additonal reminder - magpaalam kayo sa mga asawa/partners ninyo para di kayo pauuwin ng maaga.
