I still can’t get over the idea of having a wedding guest book that you’re not allowed to read until your first anniversary. 🄹

Honestly… I really regret not having one at my own wedding. šŸ¤

Some snippets for Miel’s bespoke wedding guest journal. 🪶

I got a little too excited when Miel reached out last month to have their wedding journal custom made for their lovely guests to write on for some warm messages and advices to the newly wed.

She said that they’re only gonna read it on their 1st wedding anniversary.

How cute is that?! 🄹

A little quiet time with you. šŸƒ

When Lynzl reached out to me, she wasn’t simply looking for a wedding guest book.

She wanted one that felt like theirs.

Together, we added little details that made this journal uniquely theirs: custom endpapers, beads carrying their names and wedding date, and a sunflower embroidered on the spine, a small detail that quietly became my favorite part of the project.

I think that’s what I love most about bespoke journals.

They aren’t made to look like everyone else’s. They’re made to reflect the people who’ll one day look back at them.

Someday, this journal will hold handwritten messages, little Instax photos, and memories from one beautiful day. Long after the flowers have dried and the music has faded, it’ll still be there, waiting to be opened again.

Congratulations, Survy and Lynzl. šŸ¤

This yellow Whimsy Journal was made for Lynzl and her now husband, who used it as a wedding guest book, a place for their loved ones to leave warm messages and little happy photos from their wedding day.

She had three special requests: custom endpapers, their names and wedding date for the beads, and a sunflower embroidered on the spine to match their wedding theme. A first for our bindery studio, and honestly, one of those projects that reminded me why I love making bespoke journals so much.

I especially love the detail that the sunflower is on the spine. It feels symbolic somehow. Years from now, when the journal is sitting on a shelf, that tiny sunflower will still be there, quietly marking a day that meant everything. 🌻✨

One of the newest additions to our bindery is this hot foiling machine from ✨

Most people know machines like these for stamping leather, but I’ve been discovering all sorts of ways it can be used in our hand-bound journals.

I originally got it for stamping little details onto our journals, but the more I use it, the more ideas it gives me.

Some tools simply help you work faster. Others open doors to entirely new projects.

This one definitely belongs to the second group.

Lately, I’ve been looking around our bindery and realizing it’s slowly starting to look more and more like a studio. Little by little, we’ve been adding machines, tools, and equipment that not only help us work more efficiently, but also allow us to explore ideas that weren’t possible before.

And for Telapapel that was built on curiosity and craftmanship, I think that’s the most exciting part.

I’m looking forward to seeing where this machine will take us next. šŸ¤

POV: You’re trying to be the bigger person. šŸ‘¼

Meet the Sumbungera, a linen-bound mini journal.

Inspired by the film ā€œIsusumbong Kita sa Tatay Koā€ but make it kikay! This collection was first created for the retro theme of the Manila Pen Show 2026.

It was originally meant to be a special event release, but after seeing how many people smiled, laughed, and related to it, I couldn’t let it end there.

So the Sumbungera Journal is officially here to stay.

Because let’s be honest, some people deserve a page. 😈
