Another HUGE moment for Pakistan!
We have been invited to president house once again where I presented the issues in eCommerce policies of Pakistan after Pakistan Approval on Amazon at President House where all key stakeholders were being invited.
The core agenda and discussion points we had as per below for the people of Pakistan which we want:
1) Payment method process to be ease for exports where we export certain amount of products to Amazon warehouse, however State bank requires us to bring back the complete money within certain time period which is technically not possible due to amount of burning we do for initial inventory for private label to rank our products.
2) Selling on Amazon markets require WeBOC numbers for successfully carrying out import and export operations. However, securing a WeBOC number is a hassle and time-consuming – The Government needs to look into the matter and recommend changes on how sellers can get WeBOC numbers easily. In any case, a new system or modification for WeBOC should be implemented for facilitating sellers from Pakistan
3) Right now its quite expensive to ship from Pakistan via Pakistan post so it has been recommended to facilitation required for Amazon sellers in form of subsidies and timely international deliveries from Pakistan Post for Small Packets
4) Amazon sellers should get rebate on Exports from Pakistan to ecommerce sellers same as B2B Exporters – Enablers recommended 8%
5) Initiate the process to bring PayPal in Pakistan
6) Develop own platform like Hyperwallet or initiate process to bring Pakistan into Tier 2 list of countries so Pakistani bank accounts can be accepted directly so we can avoid this low dollar rate charge by Hyperwallet.
7) Initiate the process to bring Pakistan in Approved countries list for Facebook Monetization.
It is amazing to see how one of our letter we wrote to President has put a value where all of the key stakeholders were invited - We thank you to President of Pakistan, NeCC, Ministry of Commerce once again for working with private sectors to help resolve these matters urgently.
Pakistan Will Rise!
