Today, I encountered a very hassle delivery from Lalamove. 🙄
I booked a delivery for my order from Malibay to Hidalgo, Pasay (4.6km distance) around 8pm and it arrived to me almost 10pm. The usual travel time from the pick up place to the drop off location is just 15-20 mins. 😥
Surprisingly, it took almost 2 hours to arrive. The rider worriedly texted me, that he lost his signal and that I have to wait for a few more minutes. He texted, “W8 lng po... Pacencya na kc hnd ko po maopen yung apps inaayus ko pa po... Hnd ko rin kc kabisado yung lugar”. He then called me to assure me that my delivery will arrive, it’s just that he’s not too familiar with the location. He said “Ihahatid ko po agad ma’am, pawis na pawis na po ako di ko alam pano gagawin ko, naghahanap po ako ng sim para makabili at magkasignal, pasensya na po talaga”.
I have all the time to be angry and put pressure to the man, but I didn’t. I have to wake up before 5am tomorrow, and by this time, I should be asleep already. I patiently waited and replied him the exact directions on how to go to my place even without using waze and when he finally arrived, he kept on apologizing for the inconvenience.
I was excited to meet the rider, because I know that I am more than willing to accept his sincere apology.
Also, when I was about to give the payment, I paid him triple the price of what was asked in the app. ❤️ He was shocked, kept on saying thanks (maybe because he thought I would say things to him for the very long wait) but I just smiled and told him to take care. I gave him a 5-star rating. ☺️
You see, it’s not very hard to be kind. We must do it often, as nothing compares to the feeling that you did not hurt anybody’s feelings but instead, made them happy even when they expected the exact opposite. 🥰
Delivery riders are humans too. They deserve to be respected and they make our lives hassle-free in terms of delivery.
To tatay rider, keep hustlin’. Aahon din ❤️
Good night everyone. ❤️
