The business which started off with one brand, one man and one retail outlet has come a very long way since inception, with over 30 brands and a network of 50 dealers. The first showroom opened at Souq Waqif in Doha in 1956 with only 1 employee. Marzooq Shamlan, waas the visionary behind the business. Under the able guidance of his son and Managing Director, Mohammed Shamlan, today the retail footprint of MSS includes 25 outlets across Qatar and Bahrain. With a fully-automated, climate-controlled warehouse, MSS was the first retailer to put in place such a facility in Qatar. In the league of firsts, and strongly believing in the changing shopping habits of consumer, MSS was also the first watch retailer to move into Qatar's first shopping center, The Mall.
