Have you ever been completely certain you were moving in the direction God wanted, only to hit a wall that knocked you off your feet?

It’s incredibly frustrating. When a plan falls apart, it’s easy to wonder if we misheard Him entirely. But Psalm 37:23-24 completely redefines what a "successful" path actually looks like. The difference isn't the absence of a stumble—it's the presence of the Hand holding you through it.

Let's look at how to find peace when the trajectory changes unexpectedly. Link in bio to read the full devotional: "Ordered Steps and Upholding Grace." 🤍

Are we serving God, or are we serving ourselves?

It’s a difficult question to ask, especially when we’re doing "good things." But as we look at Psalm 37:20-22, we’re reminded that church attendance and acts of service don’t make us righteous.

Righteousness is a gift received by faith—and true faith always produces fruit.

In today’s Bible Bites, we’re diving into the difference between simply knowing the Word and truly being a "doer" of it. We’re also continuing our May prayer mission with Pastor Usman and Second Adam Church.

When volatility increases and our own reserves run thin, the enemy loves to whisper that God is watching from a distance—unknowing or uncaring.

But scripture cuts right through that fear with a profound truth in Psalm 37:18-19.

The Lord doesn't just promise future abundance; He establishes His immediate proximity. Before the text addresses provision, it establishes this: The Lord knows.

He knows the days of the blameless. He stands fully aware of the toll it’s taking on you, and He stands close.

In this week’s Bible Bites devotional, we’re exploring how God has historically met His people precisely when their resources hit absolute zero—from Joseph in the prison to a destitute widow with a single jar of oil.

We don't know exactly how God will honor His Word in this season, but we know that He always does.

Join us on the blog today to read the full devotional, lock in these scriptural anchors, and join us in prayer for our global brothers and sisters at Second Adam Church in Pakistan (details on the monthly mission are in the post!).

Stand bold, and walk by faith.

God’s math is different. 🛡️
We often spend our days counting—zeros in the bank, the years on the car, or the square footage we’re trying to maintain. The world tells us these numbers are the only true measure of our security.

But Psalm 37:16-17 flips the script: "Better is the little that the righteous has than the abundance of many wicked."

True strength doesn’t come from what we can grab or accumulate, but from the One who is currently holding us. When we place our "little" in His hands, it takes on a weight that worldly wealth can't match.

Let’s take a look together at why your "little" is actually a position of power.

It’s natural to feel a sense of urgency—or even anxiety—when we look at the chaos in the world. When others plot and strive, we often feel the pressure to defend ourselves.

But as we continue our journey through Psalm 37, we are anchored by a powerful shift in perspective.🛡️

Psalm 37:13-15 shows us that God isn't worried. He sees the whole picture, and His unshakeable justice is already moving on our behalf. We don't have to match the world's anger; our strength comes from resting in the One who holds the final word.

The pressure to "settle the score" is not on your shoulders. ✨

See the full deep-dive on these crucial verses over at the website. I’d love for you to join me there today to discover how you can find rest when others plot.

If you’re feeling a little overwhelmed by the noise of the world today, this perspective is for you. 🙏

Between the constant tension and conflict, it’s easy to feel a bit shaken. But Psalm 37:11-12 gives us a powerful reality that changes everything:

"But the meek shall inherit the land and delight themselves in abundant peace. The wicked plots against the righteous and gnashes his teeth at him..."

While others plot and make noise, God promises us Shalom—not just a moment of quiet, but a "complete" peace that the world can't touch.

I’ve put together a short Bible Bite on how we can stand firmly in that peace today. We aren't abandoned, and we don't have to live in fear.

I know it feels loud, {$name}, but Jesus has already won the day. 🛡️ Let's walk together with that assurance.

The Final Word ☀️

The stone is rolled away. The grave is empty. He is risen!

After the darkness of the Cross, today we celebrate the light that can never be extinguished. The Resurrection is the definitive proof of Christ’s victory over the grave. 📖

The Reality: We don't just celebrate a miracle from the past; we celebrate the finished work of Jesus that secures our hope for eternity. The debt is paid, the victory is His, and the story ends in life.

I’ve posted a final Holy Week devotional celebrating the power of the Resurrection and the authority of our Savior. Let’s rejoice together in the work Christ has accomplished!

The Silent Promise 🏛️

Take a moment and sit with this image today. Today is Good Friday—a day marked by silence, gravity, and the weight of the Cross.

In the natural, the crucifixion on Calvary looked like an absolute ending. It looked like defeat. But as this artwork reminds us, Friday is only "Good" because we are looking at it through the lens of Sunday.

📖 The Reality: The sacrifice made on Golgotha on this dark Friday wasn't a tragedy; it was the foundation for the miracle. The Cross is the very thing that paved the way to the open tomb.

If we are currently walking through a "Friday season" of life—where things feel heavy or uncertain—the Gospel reminds us that resurrection power is already on the way. Sunday is coming, and because of it, our story is never over.

I’ve updated a special Holy Week devotional on why we can call this day Good, even when it hurts. 📖

The Choice at the Gate 🏛️

Take a look at the image above. Two men. One name. Two completely different paths to "freedom."

On the first Palm Sunday, the stage was being set for a trial between two men named Jesus. History tells us Barabbas' first name was likely Jesus, and his surname literally means "son of the father."

The crowd wasn't just choosing between a criminal and an innocent man; they were choosing which "son of the father" they wanted. One who promised liberation through the sword, or the true Son of the Father who offered it through the Spirit.

The Reality: 📖 Often, we judge the crowd for picking Barabbas, but how often do we pick our own version of "deliverance" over the actual Savior?

I’ve updated a deep-dive devotional exploring this "Trial of Two Jesus’" and what it reveals about our own hearts this Holy Week.
