Mavic 2 Pro & Zoom differences, which to buy?
DJI, the undisputed industry leader in the world of consumer drones introduced Mavic 2 in 2018.
But many drone enthusiasts are still confused by the two models in the Mavic 2 family.
The key and only difference is in the camera.
One packs a lot more punch than the other. Well, sort of.
We have constructed an easier way to tell the difference as majority of the construction is exactly the same. Like what we commonly have in twins!
So how should drone pilots choose? See table in pictures..
For those who are professionals and have been playing with drones for a while, deciding which to go for isn’t a big issue.
But for the rest, it can be quite tricky, unless you have deep pockets or are really “mad” about drones to buy both!
For one, the larger sensor in the Pro version allows for greater resolution capture in stills. This is critically important for many pro folks out there.
It could make a great deal in artistic work.
However, if you are more of a video person, then the Zoom version might be more suitable.
The zoom capability allows you to zoom in on your subject as more often than not, you cannot fly the drone near enough for safety or compliance purpose.
So there you have it. A simpler and shorter way to zoom in, pun intended, to help buyers decide which to buy.
