Half of your salary can be segregated apart for your daily needs. This is derived from the amount after deducting the tax. The needs coming under this category includes food, water, housing, healthcare, transportation, insurance, utilities and those to maintain your survival. If you are spending more than 50% on them, you may want to consider downsizing these needs to suit your budget, such as having cheaper alternatives in food or a eliminate excess electricity usage.

30%: Wants 😍
Wants are items deemed as non-essential for your survival, which are beyond your necessary basic needs, such as the crocodile-skinned bag you’ve been eyeing for and the candles you put in your bedroom for decoration.
