What a fortuitous encounter with someone who taught me how to tune pianos. Someone God has placed in my life, and in retrospect, how it has transformed my life from that point in time. I met in those days the 80s ,some colleagues who are Christian from the music school at Plaza Singapura who were somewhat involved in my conversion.
And the rest as they say is history
Thanks Thomas How and also Ah Yong 2 old masters that I respect who are still doing piano tuning both in the mid 70s and with Yamaha Music

Visited the vintage car + piano museum at Jeju yesterday. Wonderful collection of vintage and classic cars and a Mercedes Gullwing 300SL centrepiece
The usual Ford Model A , Bentley , Rolls Royce, MG, Austin, Lamborghini Countach, Ferrari, Cadillac , even a Freddie Mercury’s Rolls Royce

The piano museum features some famous name brands wonderfully restored to playing condition. Most more than 100 to 200 years old , old Steinways , John Broadwood , Chickering , Knabe, Bechstein but I didn’t see a bosendorfer tho.
All I know is Europeans seldom discard their pianos but will restored it and one can find many pianos that are over a hundred years dating back to the 1800s
Ironically some of my customers are already very concern when I tell them that we ship Yamaha refurbished pianos manufactured in the 70s

I shared on my personal page about a customer wanting to trade in her piano for a Kawai and found her piano to be an old Yamaha with 5 digit serial number dating back to 1934 before the Second World War.
She text back recently and said some dealer offered to trade in her piano for another one that is within her budget.
For myself I don’t think I will be able to tell my buyer with a straight face the age of the piano ( even though it is restored)
