Sew Into It hopes to promotes the love of sewing through our fun and easy to learn sewing workshops.

Sewing is a practical and valuable life skill for people of all ages, yet it is increasingly under-appreciated today. At Sew Into It, we hope to rekindle the joy and satisfaction of sewing and upcycling through our workshops and handmade products. Through our social outreach arm, Sewcial Agenda, we empower female youths-at-risk through mentoring and skills-training sessions. We also train and employ low-income women and mothers who face challenges in securing regular employment due to difficult family circumstances. By equipping these women with sewing skills, we enable them to facilitate workshops and create handmade products, providing them with meaningful employment opportunities and an additional source of income for their families.

It’s rolling good times at our Slot N Roll Pen Holder workshop today!

Each time we host this workshop, we tend to attract different groups of creatives or crafters who like to adapt the project for their tools! Guess we should call this the multipurpose holder instead!

The iconic Volkswagen van! This fabric was picked by the hub during our Central Europe vacation. He requested for a cushion for his new office so I made the Pipe-out cushion cover which has turquoise satin trimmings around it😄 We are certainly big fans of the Volkswagen brand so this cushion is an apt sew-venir for him!

The next Pipe-out Cushion cover is happening next Sat (31 Aug 10am). Registration link in bio! Sorry this Volkswagen fabric is not available but we have other fabulous fabrics for your selection!

This is not my usual style, but I was so drawn to this vibrant African Wax cotton fabric during my Paris trip 2 years ago and I just had to get it as a souvenir. And after hoarding the fabric for 2 years, I finally made this high waisted skirt! The wax fabric is rather stiff even after washing, so the simple straight cut silhouette works well for it. I even have a matching necklace! Sewfie, resident photo-bomber seems to love this skirt too 😻

I shared recently that I’m on a quest to use up my hoarded fabrics.. one down and many more to go! Look out for more of my sewing updates!

Mid-rise or High-rise? I’m not referring to buildings but jeans 😅 I made this self-drafted flare cropped top recently with this gorgeous lawn OSkikka fabric from Hokkoh. Because of its volume, I had to play around with the length of the top and try to match it with the right type of bottom (hence my deliberation over high rise vs low rise jeans). I also decided to add another dash of color with my candy pink button at the back (scroll to last pic) I’m very satisfied with the outcome! It’s an easy sewing project that I’ll be coming back to again😊
