INDIGO DENIM JACQUARD NORAGI

A reinterpretation of the traditional Japanese Noragi, constructed in indigo denim jacquard with an all-over woven geometric pattern.

The piece features a wide contrast lapel collar that continues around the back neckline, dual front patch pockets, contrasting front panels and an adjustable tie closure. The relaxed, boxy silhouette allows it to be worn as a lightweight outer layer or layered over heavier pieces.

The jacquard pattern is woven directly into the denim, giving the fabric its texture and depth without relying on a printed finish.

Indigo Denim Jacquard Noragi

The Indigo Denim Jacquard Noragi draws from traditional Japanese workwear, reinterpreted through CHOTA HOUSE’s approach to heritage clothing.

Constructed in indigo denim jacquard, the fabric combines the durability and structure of denim with a woven pattern that adds depth to the surface. The indigo base allows the jacquard texture to become more pronounced as light catches the fabric, while wear over time will gradually develop the colour and character of the garment.

The Noragi’s open-front construction makes it easy to layer, whether worn over a simple tee or heavier pieces. Its relaxed silhouette keeps the traditional workwear influence while making it practical for everyday wear.

Made for those who appreciate fabrics that develop with use, rather than garments that remain unchanged.

Not many pieces, and most won't be repeated.

Our selection of handmade silver jewellery includes rings, bracelets and pendants set with turquoise and natural stones. Most pieces are made as a single piece, making each selection a little different from the next.

Brown Dye Cardigan & Henley Long Sleeve

Both pieces are individually hand dyed, creating a deep brown tone with natural variations throughout the fabric. Rather than aiming for a completely uniform colour, the dyeing process allows the fabric to absorb and hold the dye differently across each piece, giving the surface more depth and character.

The unevenness in colour and subtle shifts in tone are part of the process. With wear and washing, the colour will continue to soften and develop, allowing each piece to gradually take on its own appearance.

Designed with a simple, timeless construction, the Cardigan and Henley Long Sleeve are made to be worn regularly and layered through different seasons.

Hand-dyed in brown before being treated with rust to create the weathered, uneven staining across the garment. The finish is built up by hand, with the colour and rust marks developing differently across each piece.

A time-consuming process where the final result depends on how the fabric takes the dye and treatment. Each Henley is individually finished, making every piece slightly different.

Concho Bracelet Long Sleeve Tee

Inspired by our Concho Bracelet, the design is translated into a graphic print and finished with hand-applied paint splatter.

A familiar CHOTA HOUSE motif reworked onto a long sleeve tee, with each piece carrying its own variation from the paint treatment.
