📿 Luangphor Thuad Rian — One Image, Hand-Inscribed Twice
An Earlier Era of the Temple

🙏 Every piece carries a story behind how it was made — and this one carries a bit of temple history worth telling properly.

This Luangphor Thuad Rian carries the design and vision of Ajarn Khlang Saeng, produced under Samnak Song Khao Kuti — the monastic dwelling that is now being elevated to full temple status as Wat Ratchamuni Sriwanaram.

That makes this piece a marker of an earlier chapter, minted and consecrated back when the grounds still held samnak song status, before the elevation to wat.

🕯️ Both faces of this rian carry the same Luangphor Thuad likeness — the monk of the "เหยียบน้ำทะเลจืด" legend, who is said to have stepped into the sea and turned saltwater fresh to save a ship's crew from thirst.

A figure so central to Thai amulet culture that few collectors haven't encountered his image in some form.

✨ What sets this piece apart is the finish: one side is minted in the standard metal, while the other is a Gold Mask — the same Luangphor Thuad image, minted in gold.

The likeness itself on both faces is factory-minted. But the yant script surrounding the image is a different matter — it is hand-inscribed, one piece at a time, by Ajarn Khlang Saeng himself, not minted or moulded.

Every rian in this batch carries his own hand at the moment of jarn, the same wicha and intention going directly into the metal, piece by piece.

🛕 For collectors, this piece sits at an interesting point in the timeline — made when Samnak Song Khao Kuti was still building toward what it is becoming today as Wat Ratchamuni Sriwanaram.

Pieces from this earlier era carry that quieter, foundational chapter of the site's history, before the formal elevation.

This is a screengrab from a video taken during a ceremony a few years ago — a quiet frame from a moment much bigger than the shot itself. Ajarn Khlang Saeng's hands, shaping an amulet the way he has for devotees for the longest time. I didn't think much of it then. I think about it differently now.

Every phayant that carries his handprint isn't just a piece we release for booking.

It's an impression from the same hands in this photo — hands that have been doing this quietly, patiently, long before any of us were paying attention.

这是几年前一场法会仪式录影中的一帧画面

一个安静的瞬间,却来自一场意义深远的场合。阿赞康賢的双手,正在专注地塑造一件法物——他为信众手作法物,已是长久以来的坚持。当时我没多想,如今再看,却有了不一样的感受。

每一件带有他手印的布符,不只是我们发布供请的一件法物,而是这双手留下的印记

同一双手,早在我们注意到之前,就已经默默、耐心地做着这件事。

两手满怀慈悲,用心一点一点塑造。每一件经指尖而成的法物,都是献给众人的心意。

🙏 昨晚深夜,父亲传来了这张照片...

I was about to sleep when this photo came through from my father in Thailand. Had to stop and just look at it for a while before writing this.

昨晚正准备休息时,收到父亲从泰国传来的这张照片。看了好一会儿,才提笔写下这段文字。

This is the actual handprint of Ajarn Khlang Saeng (阿赞康賢) — handwritten and personally signed by him, one of 500 pieces being made for the Handprint Phayant. Every single piece is done by his own hands, individually.

这是阿赞康賢亲手按下的手印 — 由他亲自书写并签名,是手印布符项目500枚当中的其中一枚。每一张都是他亲手、逐一完成的。

If you look closely, on the top is a Somdej Chao Ko Yor Rian — 1st Batch from Wat Ratchamuni Sriwanaram, and at the bottom, an Ajarn Khlang Saeng backview rian from Samnak Song Khao Kuti. Two pieces of his lineage’s history, sitting quietly alongside the handprint itself.

细看框内,上方是 Somdej Chao Ko Yor Rian — Wat Ratchamuni Sriwanaram 第一期,下方则是 Samnak Song Khao Kuti 的阿赞康賢背面莲 (Rian)。两枚承载法脉历史的作品,静静地陪伴在手印旁。

As a collector myself, moments like this are what make this hobby meaningful — not just owning something, but knowing the story and effort behind it.

This piece exists for one reason: to help raise funds for the land and construction of the Ubosot at Wat Ratchamuni Sriwanaram.
