Sometime you just gotta trust the process😅

This handmade padded dressage noseband was a project like this.

Me and knew we wanted something special for her darling horse Ruby, but as always, she gave me free reins when it comes to designing it🤣

So as many of my other creations, I went with the flow of my creativity.

It all came to a stop when I knew we didnt want a tooled design, so I bashed my head in for a couple of days, then just drew what came to my mind and suprisingly(or not lol😅) the design came out so cute!

That done, I then had to find a complimentary color of leather for the padding, which wasnt as easy of a task as I imagined it would be....none of the browns available were a good match🥲

So I chose this dusty pastel pink shade, and I think it turned out so pretty!

Neveš kam bi se dal za vikend?
Si želiš več ur v sedlu?
So ti všeč lepi razgledi in dobra hrana?
Si želiš pridobiti več znanja, povezanega s konji?
Te včasih zasrbijo prsti, da bi kaj ustvarjal s svojimi rokami?

Potem se nam moraš pridružit na vikend terenskih taborih na Ranč pod Bočem (Ranč Zorin) !

Skupaj bomo pod vodstvom Špele zvezali vsak svojo vrvično oglavko;
Jaz vam potem pokažem,kako izgleda graviranje usnja,da si potem lahko sami ustvarite nosnik, vmes vam Jure in Špela skuhata/spečeta nekaj dobrega za pod zob, in vas peljeta na teren raziskovat okolico in iskat lepe razgledne tocke!

Prva delavnica je bila noro uspešna,izdelali smo res lepe oglavke, in navdušenje nad graviranjem in delom z usnjem je bilo neverjetno! Ponosna,da lahko delim svoje znanje💪

A challenging repair… but a satisfying one. ⚒️

Another saddle that needed a little bit of my leather magic🧙‍♀️✨️

It was stored for quite some time, and then some mice got to it....

So I gave it a really good clean and conditioned the leather, then I cut of the chewed saddle billets, and made new ones, so the saddle can serve for a few more years with backing up youngsters💪😁

It took quite a lot of work, and some moments where I had to push thru, but Im very proud of the end result😊

Nočna mora vsakega jahača:
Ko pospravljaš sedlo, pa ga nekam zatakneš in narediš luknjo v perfektno usnje😭

Pri meni se vse "zrihta" , tudi manjse kozmetične napakice, in sedlo je spet lepo in ga lahko uporabljaš dalje😁

Ne bom rekla, da se nisem malo namatrala: najprej je bilo treba porezat stare šive, asesirat kako bom izvedla popravilo, potem pa najtezja naloga - najti usnje iste oz skoraj identične barve🫠

Kaj praviš, mi je uspelo zadet pravo barvo za popravljen del?

Na tem sedlu sem zamenjala se paščke za držanje odvečnega pasu stremenic, ki so bili čisto druge barve kot sedlo; in zašila spodnji del listov, kjer je šiv "zbledel" zaradi dolgotrajne uporabe.

Prejel je še temeljito čiščenje in nego, tako da je pripravljen na novo tekmovalno sezono💪

For a long time, I thought “too much” was something I needed to shrink.

Too sensitive.
Too intense.
Too loud.
Too different.

Middle school didn’t feel like home.
High school didn’t either.
Even some barns I stepped into — places that were supposed to feel like belonging — felt slightly off.
Like I was standing on the edge of something I couldn’t quite enter.

So I kept searching.
For the right place.
The right people.
The right version of myself.

And somewhere along the way, after 25 years of trying to fit into spaces that never quite fit me… I stopped looking.

I built my own.

I created a space where intensity is devotion.

Where sensitivity becomes detail.

Where “too much” turns into craft, art, magic.
This is where the magic happens.
This is where the creativity begins.

Not because I finally fit in —
but because I stopped trying to.

If you’ve ever felt like you didn’t fully belong…
like you were just slightly out of rhythm with everyone else…
Maybe you’re not lost.

Maybe you’re meant to build something of your own.

I care more about your horse’s comfort than I care about fitting in.

There’s a lot of beautiful tack out there.
But beautiful isn’t enough for me.

If it restricts movement, creates pressure, or ignores anatomy — I won’t make it.

I don’t build for everyone.

I build for the riders who want better.

Your horse doesnt own you tolerance.

I got another saddle in for some repair....

This time, it was a lovely dressage saddle, that needed replaced saddle billets. Because Im always striving to prove myself to myself,I took on the job even tho I knew replacing billets is a tedious job, because you have to be really handy witt the needle to stitch the new billets on, while the saddle is intact and not damaging the leather around it😅

I must admit, I complicated too much and gave myself double the work, earning myself a couple of awl-knicks and blisters from pulling the needle, but I made it work and replaced the billets,while also making them even stronger with a saddle stitch all around -thats where the blister comes from- handstitching 5 m of leather with 4 mm hole spacing🧵 do not reccomend😅😂

I also noticed the saddle was dirty in those hard-to-reach places, so I gave it a little spa day.
