I belive women who wear Blackbird bags are very attached to their bag and won't let it go. You can take everything from her but not her Blackbird bag. How it all started? Sewing has a very long tradition in my family. My great-grandfather was selling Singer sewing machines in eary 20th century and that's how first sewing machine came into my family. In Spring 2010 I saw contest for shopping bag and decided to enter. My shopping bag made it into the finals and was bought almost immediately into privat collection. The first unique bags was lost forever, but the idea and desire for making unique bags stayed. From the desire for making beautiful, practical and unique bags I created Blackbird bags brand in Autumn 2010.
