As traditional crafts gradually decline in a rapidly changing world, the need to safeguard them from being lost has become increasingly important.

Lamin, a creator from SheCreates သူမလက်ရာ and a partner of Wan Mai, plays an important role in keeping these traditions alive. By reimagining recycled paper into handcrafted traditional paper dolls, Lamin has built a practice that carries forward the richness of Myanmar’s cultural heritage through skilled, hands-on artistry.

Each piece also embodies cultural symbols that are at risk of fading from memory. Through these creations, Lamin brings renewed attention to Myanmar’s traditional crafts and the value of its artisanal knowledge.
