Hello everyone,

Today we visited a friend’s workshop and had the chance to see some beautifully made hammers.

Different head materials are available for different applications, including plastic, brass and titanium. There are even special versions with leather-covered striking surfaces. One of the best details is that the heads can be changed very quickly and easily.

The handles are made from carbon fiber for lightweight construction and better ergonomics, while wooden handle options are also available for those who prefer a more traditional feel.

When different materials are combined with good ergonomics and careful craftsmanship, the result can be a truly special tool.

Sparks do not mean a knife is being sharpened properly.

There is a common belief that knife sharpening should be done at very high speed, within seconds, with plenty of sparks.

Yes, a knife can become sharp this way.
But it can also lead to unnecessary material removal and excessive heat at the cutting edge.

Our approach is different:

Controlled speed. The right abrasive. The right angle. Minimum material removal.

Good sharpening is not only about making a knife sharp today. It is about preserving its geometry so that it can be sharpened again and again for many years.

This is also the approach we see in many professional sharpening workshops across Europe: control instead of speed, precision instead of sparks.

If your goal is to create lots of sparks while sharpening your knife, this machine is probably not for you.

We don’t build machines to create sparks.
We build them for controlled sharpening.

A small angle can make a big difference in use.

For the YMR-01, we have developed discs from Ø80 mm up to Ø300 mm, with different edge geometries designed for different applications.

The beveled-edge design makes it easier to approach the workpiece from different angles, especially during watch case polishing and lapping. While a flat-edge disc can limit movement in certain areas, the beveled edge provides greater working clearance and more controlled movement around the watch case.

With different diameters and edge angles available, you can choose the disc that best suits your application.

We have developed a new range of discs for the YMR-01, available in different diameters and configurations from 80 mm up to 300 mm.

The specially designed 60° angled profile on the rear outer edge allows much easier access to watch case lug recesses and other hard-to-reach areas.

We continue to manufacture, develop, and create new solutions.

TR MAKER IPK-03 | Denmark 🇩🇰

Our IPK-03 sharpening machine, which we recently shipped to Denmark, is now actively being used in Morten’s workshop.

With his extensive experience in sharpening, it is especially valuable for us to see the results Morten is achieving with the IPK-03. In this video, you can take a closer look at the sharpening results on both sides of the blade.

For us, developing a product does not end with manufacturing. Real user experience and feedback are an important part of our development process. Morten has shared some valuable suggestions with us regarding the use of the machine and its attachments. Based on this feedback, we are planning some new improvements and adjustments, particularly to the attachments.

We would like to thank Morten for sharing his experience and suggestions with us, and for choosing TR MAKER.

We have new developments planned for the IPK-03, along with a special campaign in the coming period.
