This branded
This bounty-less
This bedeviled
This…..bald
Besieged by this blessing?
I watched each strand, each blade,
Each braid cascade away
No longer bound by loyalty
They betray me
And my scalp, now bleeding a torrent of tresses
Becomes…..bald
Broken but not beaten
I am not bested by this blow
My now bare scalp bathed by the breath of nature
Breaks free
Bashful no longer
It blossoms…metamorphoses
And I….I breathe
Beautiful
Bold
Bald

The lotus was used to represent new beginnings, strength and to show even in the darkest moments and situations, there is still light and beauty.

We hope to share that strength on a daily basis, not just this month and hope to bring more support to those who need it.
