🥁 Gospel on pan. Only in Tobago.

Caribbean Night of In His Presence 10, Roxborough Complex, 2023. When the pan side came out, the whole night changed. 🎶 This is what it sounds like when island culture and worship share one stage, and it is exactly why these nights belong to the whole island.

🙌 In 2019 Maranda Curtis stood at Shaw Park and Tobago worshipped for a solid hour.

In His Presence 9, 30 March 2019. The theme that year was Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is Freedom, and her set is exactly that. ✨ Fifty-nine minutes, and it is all on the archive.

Terance Baynes. In His Presence 11, Tobago, 2024. 🎤

Look past the singer for a second. A full band, a line of vocalists behind him, and a room that already knows the words.

Eleven editions of In His Presence have happened on this island. Most of the footage has never been published anywhere, and we are working through it a week at a time.

Positive at In His Presence 10. Tobago, 2023. 🎤

Look past him for a moment and look at the room. Light sticks up across the floor, a full band behind him, and singers who have stood on that stage more often than most people realise.

This one comes out of the In His Presence archive, which we have been opening all month.

Nine editions before it. One since. And a twelfth being built for 2027.
