You all gave some great suggestions on what to do with my growing force of counter tomatoes. I had already canned pizza sauce, but it was funnier than I like. Decided to make another much thicker batch. Time for some 🍕 now!!

Pro canning tip number #1: Store your jars for long term storage without the rings. Last night I went to pull a jar of salsa from the canning room. The lid was just sitting on top of the jar. I immediately tossed the jar with contents inside. You can never be too safe! If the ring was on this jar, it could have resealed or hidden the false seal. I have never had this happened and used a cheap Walmart lid. Thankful I was taught early to store without rings!

A friend of ours is looking for reasonably priced hens around six months to a year old if anyone local has any. They don’t have to be fancy.

Special shout out to my mama for coming up to help me process my bushel of peaches!
Very excited for some new canned items soon!

I have always cold packed pickles. I followed a new recipe that suggested hot packing them. I’m loving how tightly packed they are and how much time it saved. Now I just need to see if they are crispy… 🤞🏻 🤞🏻
Anyone else hot pack?

So excited for the kiddos to try these homemade watermelon popsicles when I pick them up. Yesterday I juiced a watermelon for a canning recipe and decided to surprise the kiddos with these. These should hopefully help cool them off after a very hot 🔥 week! We might have to make some hibiscus mint iced tea as we clean out another stall this weekend for another farm addition.

What are you doing to cool down in this September heat wave?

It has been a hot week! It might cool down Sunday, but until then… cool off with one of our iced teas!

I suggest hibiscus mint, floral mint green tea, passion, or Productivitea. Today and tomorrow only: large packs (roughly 3 ounces loose leaf) only $10.
