I worked with friends to make sure that everyone who attends my teach-a-thon leaves with knowledge and training on who to activate and organize. Please come and get a copy today!

Special thank you to our print sponsor for making this knowledge drop possible! Yes, we have a print sponsor because they, too, believe we have a right to know how our city is developed.

This year, I am finding it difficult to make strategic business moves. This time, the reason is the City of Albany has decided that my neighborhood and business residence is the perfect place to build a hyper scale edge tech data center. This plan manifested years ago, but I and my neighbors just learned about the proposal this spring. I cannot call myself a sustainable art activist and remain silent while this proposal is being discussed.

If you are interested in learning about data centers and discussing the EKG proposal together as a community, then please join me as I cohost my Albany South End Data Center Teach-A-Thon. You can register for this event via QR Code and ask that you consider making a $2 or $5 donation. The teach-a-thon's goal is to create a safe space where people can learn about data centers and the details outlined in the Kenwood Commons proposal. I ask any advocacy groups that attend to use this teach-a-thon as an opportunity to educate our uninformed neighbors and to gather their authentic feedback. This event was made possible by the support of many for whom I am grateful. Thank you Honest Weight Food Co-op and Crystal Jackson for sponsoring snacks for part 1. Special thanks to Shawn from North Side Pizza for taking time to create a signature pizza flavor that will show you how energy intense a data center is. Thank you to all the advocacy groups and nonprofits who circulated this event flyer. A special thank you to my friends who helped create this experience!

In spite of my business challenges, I remain determined and am committed to continuing to produce and sell my eco-conscious wearable art and to providing my communities with impactful, sustainable interactive art experiences as best as I can with the resources available. For those who do not understand my movements, please be patient with my social media feeds as I will be pivoting among educational advocacy, authentic artistic expression, and eco-conscious entrepreneurial activities. Take care and I look forward to hosting you this Friday, September 18, 2026.

I found some fiesty females who volunteered to be models and we did our thing at "Accotrements" the Albany Barn fashion show that premiered at Art Night Schenectady.

Just wanted to share how fashion can be fun and funny! As a sustainable wearable artist, it is so much fun reimagining clothing as art. These models were extraordinary women who were down for trying a thing! In the Caribbean, entrepreneurism is encouraged when people see others trying a thing and support their efforts! We don't discourage but encourage and mist importantly give space to that person as they figure how to make things happen! We need to make sure that we take the time to encourage others try NEW concepts and to be sustainable in their ex*****on.

For those who supported my reimagined styling efforts, thank you for blessing my with your time and presence. We hope you enjoyed the fashion show!

Made a quick recap reel of my fashion segment in the "Accoutrement" fashion show hosted by Albany Barn. I showcased three of my collections under the theme Caribbean Splendor. I accessorized my Caribbean headbands with my current Salvage & Shine collections Celebrate Freedom, Affirm Body Positivity (so much love to give), and Swanning. I was able to find three model volunteers (they were fierce ladies and not professional models) who showed up and showed out! Shout out to Kylie, Julia, and Martha! Thank you for your support and I am so proud of how everything went. We were so grateful for the positive feedback and everyone had so much fun! Thank you to Albany Barn and Albany NY Wedding Event Studio Photographer for your support. I enjoyed meeting the other artist designers and loved your pieces and would love to see you build out this fashion show platform.

To all my emerging artists, don't be afraid to create and exhibit your work! People love seeing artist innovation and your artistic expression is a gift you give to the world! If you didn't feel ready to design and exhibit at the Accoutrement fashion show, consider answering my call for artist designers to exhibit at my Ecoconscious Fashion Show and Tell where I will look forward to supporting you! Sincerely, Alessandra J. Payne dba Salvage & Shine

With great care, I worked with Essentially Emerald to create these two spa liming (hangout) experiences. The purpose of these experiences is create a safe space for individuals to destress and make friends while they participate in Caribbean wellness and art empowerment experiences. For those of us who cannot afford to travel to the Caribbean, we are bringing Caribbean culture to you. In these experiences, you will feel Caribbean hospitality, eat Caribbean food, workout to Caribbean music, create a Caribbean handcrafted souvenir, learn about Afro-Caribbean wellness practices, and more! Please email me if you are interested in purchasing this spa lime for you and/or a loved one. Take care and come lime with us!

In early 2025, an era where I was unconsciously "doing too much", I participated in a community wearable art show in Plattsburgh, NY that was hosted by some really amazing people OLD SOUL LeAnn Yelton Ian Brockhouse Alex and so many more! We had such a great time sharing our art and creativity! After many months, I have micro produce the earrings from my wearable art set "You Can't Eclipse My (Salvage & Shine) in a way that maintained the elegant design while keeping the retail costs affordable. This reel showcases my micro produced earrings called "You Can't Eclipse My Shine!" which are a visual reminder that no one can dull your shine without your consent! This piece is on sale today! They are a PSA to always shine brightly when being a light in your community! I hope to see you at my next pop up. Sincerely, Alessandra J. Payne dba Salvage & Shine
