Precision work on the staircase. Jose laying out and installing low-voltage boxes so each one aligns perfectly with its tread — measured off the stairs themselves, not off a plan.

Once the finishes are in, every step will carry a soft wash of light, the white oak glowing from below as the stairs climb toward that window. Warm, even, and quiet enough that you never see the source.

Found a 2x4 wedged between the amplifiers. Not ours, for the record.

This Fulton Market salon had a rack full of consumer receivers, masking-tape labels written in Sharpie, and cables draped across the front like garland. It worked. Mostly. Nobody on staff could tell you how.

We pulled it out and rebuilt around a single Blaze PowerZone amp handling every zone, dressed the patch panel, and cleaned up the network behind it.

Same room, better sound, and a system anyone can run without a cheat sheet.

The lumber did not make the cut.

Eight years in and this still gets me.

Shariq has trusted us with his home multiple times now — installing house audio, whole home WiFi network, TVs, surround sound — and this week we came back to upgrade the TV in his media room. Then he wrote this.

“They came exactly when they said they would, did it for exactly the price they said they would.”

That’s it. That’s the whole thing. Show up when you said you would. Charge what you quoted. Give people honest options instead of pushing the most expensive box on the shelf.

I’ve been doing this a long time, and I’ll tell you — the technology is the fun part, but it’s not the point. The point is a family that doesn’t have to think about any of it. Music that just plays. Wi-Fi that just works. A room that finally feels finished.

Shariq, thank you. Genuinely. Getting invited back into someone’s home is the highest compliment there is in this business.

We did not want the look of large traditional speakers so these fit the build perfectly.

With the wooden slotted grills, they almost disappear but don’t let that fool you. These speakers pack a serious punch!!
