These can be used for hats, bags, jackets, gifts, or custom business pieces. I’ve been testing a few different colors and shapes to see what comes out best on the laser.

Simple little pieces, but they make a big difference once they’re finished.

There’s just something about walnut before it ever becomes anything finished.

The color, the grain, the live edges, the natural curves — every slab already has its own personality before the real work even starts. Some of these could become tables, shelves, charcuterie boards, wall pieces, or something completely different.

That’s the fun part of working with wood like this. You don’t always see the final piece right away, but you can definitely see the potential.

Excited to see what some of these turn into.

I’m thinking about trying something new here at Amsterdam Engraving Company.

A lot of my best design ideas come from people commenting things they’d like to see made — dog breeds, funny sayings, local ideas, gift ideas, kitchen designs, holiday stuff, all of it.

So I’m thinking about starting an Idea Points system.

Basically, when people comment real design or product ideas, I’ll keep track of them. The better or more detailed the idea, the more points it gets.

If your idea gets picked or turned into an actual product, you could earn a small thank-you gift, a discount, or credit toward a custom order.

Nothing crazy, no tagging people or sharing required. Just a way to reward people who actually help come up with cool ideas.

Finished up this wine accessory gift set 🍷

The outside has the funny “Mama Juice” wine engravings, and inside it has the wine tools tucked right into the case with room for a bottle.

These are nice because they’re useful, but still have that personalized/funny gift feel — birthdays, housewarming gifts, girls’ nights, Mother’s Day, or just someone who loves their wine 😆

I can do different designs too, so this doesn’t have to be the exact same wording.

Another clock is in the glue stage and almost ready to head out 🕒

This one has been a fun build — layers cut, painted, lined up, glued, and clamped until everything sets just right.
