🚴‍♂️ Heads up, bike friends! 🚴‍♀️

Charlie's Bike Shop will be closed Monday, June 22 through Thursday, June 25.

If your bike needs a tune-up, repair, or safety check before the busy summer riding season, please get it in to us as soon as possible. We'll do our best to have bikes dropped off this week completed and back to you by the end of the weekend.

Some of you already know Charlie… but for those who don’t, we figured it was time for a proper introduction. 👋

Charlie has been working on bikes for over 30 years. What started as a passion turned into a lifetime of riding, coaching, wrenching, teaching, and helping people get outside and enjoy life on two wheels.

Over the years, he’s coached skiing, snowboarding, and mountain biking for nearly three decades, including time spent coaching at Woodward Copper. Before opening the shop, he was a speed skater, raft guide, and zipline guide — basically if it involved adrenaline, balance, or the outdoors, he was probably in. 😄

Most importantly though, he’s a husband to Manda and dad to three awesome kids who have grown up riding trails, building jumps, hanging around the shop, and learning that bikes have a way of bringing people together.

We opened Charlie’s Bike Shop to serve our community in a way that felt personal. Not just fixing bikes, but helping people ride more, ride safer, and feel welcome no matter their experience level.

One thing especially close to our hearts is helping local kids get on bikes. Whether that’s repairing neighborhood bikes, donating bikes, encouraging new riders, or supporting local riding opportunities — we believe bikes can genuinely change lives.

So whether you’ve been riding for decades or your bike has been sitting in the garage collecting dust since the Obama administration… we’re glad you’re here. 🚲

Spring is finally showing up here in the Northwoods 🙌 and the shop is (mostly) caught up!

If your bike has been hanging in the garage all winter, now is the time to get it in. We’re currently turning around tune-ups in about 3–5 days… but that window will start stretching as things pick up (and they always do 🚲💨).

Our goal? Make sure your bike is rolling smooth, shifting clean, and ready for those first really good rides when the weather hits just right.

Also—we’ve got to say THANK YOU.
This past month has been incredible, and it’s 100% because of this community showing up and trusting us with your bikes. We don’t take that lightly.

If you’ve been thinking about getting on the schedule… this is your sign 😉

Spring in the Northwoods is finally
starting to feel like… spring 🙌

And I’m just gonna say it—I think we’re done with snow (don’t come for me if it flurries next week 😅).

Our shop is already starting to fill up, which means bike season is knocking loud.

If your bike has been sitting all winter giving you the silent treatment, now’s the time to show it some love:

This treasure in our community needs your help! Please show up and support this facility that teaches kids life saving skills, team work, and more. For the school board to say they don't know what the community wants sounds like an invitation for each one of us to show up and tell them!!

🚨 URGENT: Help Us Save the Clara R. McKenna Aquatic Center! 🚨

Hey Antigo community,

On behalf of the Antigo Swim Club Board, we want to thank every one of you for the incredible support you’ve given our swimmers and our program. Your cheers, your time, and your involvement have helped our athletes train, compete, and grow in a facility that means so much to so many families.

But we need your help right now more than ever.

The Clara R. McKenna Aquatic Center is at real risk of closing. The school board is holding a critical meeting this Monday, March 23, 2026, at 4:30 PM at the high school in the media tech room to decide its future.

We are calling on EVERYONE in our community to show up and rally with us. Bring your kids, your neighbors, your friends—anyone who knows what this place means to our town. Your presence will show the board how deeply this center matters to our families, our athletes, and our entire community. This isn’t just about one swim club but about the heart of swimming in Antigo.

Please do not take this lightly. A strong turnout from our community can make all the difference. We also ask that you take just a few minutes to write a short letter or email to the school board members. Even a couple of sentences from a parent, swimmer, or family member sharing what the Aquatic Center has meant to you can have real impact. School board email addresses are included below this post.

As we work together for a solution, let’s stay positive, hopeful, and united. Now is the time to stand up, and showing your support and your involvement is absolutely crucial for the future of our swim club and our young athletes.
