CMZ Designs Boutique

Influenced by my family a true passion for the arts and international business developed at a very young age. I have earned a business degree from my country of origin and came to the United State after graduating in 1991. I arrive in the United States and worked as a many for a few years, married for 22 years, mother of twins, obtain a beautician license in 3 States, owned and operated a salon for over 11 years and in 2003 CMZ Designs Boutique was create. Been a nature lover and in Florida I have over the years collected lots of Sea glass and designed my own jewelry line as well as beauty products that I used in my salon. When we moved to Asheville, NC I was still creating jewelry for my clients but I discover a new passion for WOOD. One day at Church I discovered that Mr. Don Stucker who was a trustee with me there was a wood worker and turner. I asked if he would teach me and his passion turns out to be mine as well. I have and I am still learning from him today. When I see a piece of wood my creative mine gets beyond the bark and I start designing the piece in my head. I than get in my little wood shop a.k.a my garage and start. I love the different beauty that comes out of each piece and each piece carries it's own characters. Even a piece from your wood pile could turn into a beautiful piece of art. I have amazing friends that enjoy my creativity and encourage me to go further with it all. They even send me pictures of trucks full of trees and ask me if they should high jacked them so I can have the wood to create some more. I am currently retailing my pieces and saving some money to be able to get out of my garage and create my own wood shop within our property so I can work all year round. CMZ (wood) Designs are now being featured at the Arboretum gift shop here in Asheville, NC as well as in the Crown Plaza Hotel restaurant and in several unique one of a kind specialty boutiques. I am also a firm believer in helping others so CMZ Designs is always happy to donate several pieces to bring and develop awareness for different non profit organizations as well as for schools fundraiser private or public. I am currently working on creating a few pieces for Christ School fundraiser. Feel free to contact me for your own special piece if you live in the Asheville area since I specialize in custom made.
