It’s hard to stay soft-hearted in a hard-hearted world.

You can love, serve, encourage, give generously, and try to do good and still face rudeness, disappointment, selfishness, or ingratitude.

But the greatest danger isn’t that someone disappoints us. It’s allowing their behavior to change our heart.

Every disappointment can add bitterness, resentment, anger, or distrust to what we carry. If we aren’t careful, someone else’s actions can slowly change who we become.
Protect the water.

Come back to God again and again. Let Him renew your mind, restore your hope, and remind you who you are.

There are still good people in this world. Be one of them. The world doesn’t need another cynical person.

It needs you to stay good. Keep shining the GOOD Stuff. 🤎

And if someone comes to mind who could use a little goodness today, send them something that says, “I was thinking about you.” A box of Dulci chocolate is a pretty sweet way to do it.

There’s a lot of “truth” being thrown around these days. Everyone has an opinion and an explanation.

But there’s one thing that never needs to argue: time.

Give a friendship, a decision, a commitment, or a person’s character enough time, and the truth has a way of revealing itself.

That’s why I’m trying to live by two simple things: Trust God’s timing. Make the most of mine.

“My times are in your hands.” — Psalm 31:15

We don’t have to force every door open or understand every part of the story. We can trust that God sees what we cannot.
But the time He has given us? That’s ours to steward.

Love your people. Make the phone call. Do meaningful work. Sit around the table a little longer. Say “I love you” while you still have the chance. Because eventually, our time reveals what truly matters.

Trust His timing. Make the most of yours.

Sometimes the biggest battle isn’t happening around us. It’s happening inside our heads.

Thoughts like “I’m not good enough,” “This will never work,” or “God has forgotten me” can quickly turn into worry, fear, and doubt.

That’s why Ephesians 6 reminds us to put on the Helmet of Salvation. It protects something incredibly valuable: our minds.
We may not control every thought that enters our minds, but we can choose which thoughts we allow to stay.

Catch it. Question it. Replace it.

When fear speaks, turn to faith.
When shame speaks, remember grace.
When doubt speaks, return to Truth.

Train. Shield. Stand. Pray.

Football teaches the importance of preparing before the pressure comes. You train before the hit, learn the play before the snap, and condition before the fourth quarter.

Our faith requires that same intentionality.
Ephesians 6:16 reminds us to take up the “shield of faith” because the arrows will come fear, pressure, temptation, doubt, and failure.

Faith doesn’t mean the battle disappears. It means the battle doesn’t get to decide who we become.

TRAIN. Prepare your faith before the pressure comes.
SHIELD. Trust what God says more than what the moment tells you.
STAND. Choose what is right, even when it’s difficult.
PRAY. Trust God with what only He can do.

And remember: we aren’t meant to stand alone. Strong people don’t just stand, they help others stand.

The helmets come off. The pads come off. The crowds go home. But the person we are becoming goes with us.

When the arrows come, shield up. And when someone is struggling, stand beside them.
