A quick photo I snapped of my show shelves from Thursday—
I went into this show feeling stressed and underprepared. I didn’t like how empty my shelves looked, I almost wasn’t able to be a part of this raid train, and I was still feeling defeated from my past few shows.
I still pressed “Start Show.” Even before the raid came in I had 10 people in my room, waiting along with me. Chatting, joking, and expressing their excitement for the show.
Then, my first ever raid came in (not even the one from the train I was in), more people joined, a special friend joined, and suddenly it was Go-Go-Go!
My chat was so lively and full of friends. I went through some items and got a couple of bids! My show got up to 25 people (I don’t think I’ve seen that number since my second show!)
What started as a feeling of dread and anxiety turned into an hour long show of community and kindness.
Keep it up, y’all. Whatnot can seem like a whiplash. Your first few shows are great, but a lot of us feel the plateau hit after a while. Just keep it up, because even if you don’t want to show up for yourself, there will be others that do show up. 💐
