Also, I can’t guarantee that if you have a jam on I won’t still do this. I will rock my body while supporting you rock yours.

This woman.

Man. Where would I be without her friendship, mentorship, care and support? Not very far that’s for sure! I never could have imagined that taking a training with her 7 years ago (and a second one three years later) would have blessed me beyond that weekend, but here we are.

This is the second year we have celebrated our birthdays together (one day apart) and it is such a joy. When we are together it feels like I am talking with my future self, it’s actually crazy how similar we are. She pushes me, she holds my hand when I cry, and gives the best hugs.

Gwynne Knap you deserve all of the love the world has to offer!

✨what I have been processing through✨

It seems like the births I attend with have themes of what needs to be worked out. I don’t know how to explain it…

✨Not knowing I could listen to my intuition.
I told my husband on the way to my induction “She’s not ready to be born yet.” His response? “How do you even know that, and what do we do?”

✨Not experiencing labor at all.
I only remember one contraction being a little intense with my first birth. Once I was 4 cm, the OB broke my water and it was an immediate epidural (with both).

👀Birth trauma isn’t only about what happened. It’s about how your nervous system experienced it.

🙋‍♀️ Are you a doula who has witnessed birth emergencies or want to be mentally prepared when they arise in your practice?

is hosting and leading a Birth Emergencies Workshop and we would love to see you there!

✨Knowing the mechanics of what is happening, why it could be happening and how it is handled can help lessen the secondary trauma for you and help you support your clients in a better way!

✅Hospital and Homebirth emergencies will be covered.

We will have models and will run through scenarios so you can see exactly what it can look like!

🛑This is NOT a skills training, this is a training to go through what emergencies look like and how to support your client through it!

Light snacks and drinks will also be provided.
