More shots as The Market Box came together.
I am really happy with how this turned out.

Interesting side note. The floor of the box is triple recycled! It started life as an overheated CNC Arrowhead Stadium screw up.
Much like Leonardo in the 1500's and the Dutch Masters of the 1600's, I reuse my 'canvases'.
I flipped this over and it became a Sanford Stadium CNC screw up!

It finally found a home as a market box floor! I guess that is more of a floor note, not a side note.

Also, Kat is a great 'Merican! The exterior is stained Red Chestnut 🌰, the interior is white washed, so I made the floor blue🤯! 🇺🇸🇺🇸

I always thought the [front] pin-up biker chick would be cool... I figured the 72 Super Beetle and the Georgia G would work, but the puppy dog 🐶 turned out MUCH better than expected. It went from my least favorite to right up there with the rest!

Very happy with this one. If it doesn't wear out from Market abuse, it should be around for years to come!

Fun project for a wonderful repeat client out of The People's Republic of California! I call her Cali Dawn.
Cool Tools and much cleaner than my pegboard!

She sent the basic idea and an Etsy post and this will be headed to Papa J on Tuesday.

This was a really fun one and I think turned out really well. I enjoyed the creative process as well as the woodworking aspect.

This was done for a fellow artist I met at The Recycled Art Market back in ?April?. Kat is making me a stained glass Celtic Cross and I made a personalized box for her to transport her stuff to the markets she does.

Kat has a very distinctive style that I tried to capture in old pallet wood. It's hard to believe this started life as a nasty pine pallet(last pic).

I will post more as this becomes a proper market box.

Leave me your thoughts - is this something that I should offer for sale? They take a lot of steps/time and would be on the higher end of the stuff I offer...

Sometimes they fight you...
Mistakes were made. Lessons were learned. This solid oak monster pushed the limits of my machine.
In the end it was a cool project, and I'm smarter today than I was a week ago!

This 18"x24"x1 3/4 replica of an old neighbor's historic family home turned out really well. The client has the matching paint, so it was sent south with only some sanding.
I hope the next generation enjoys this for years to come!

Thrilled and honored to have done a carving for the Visually Impaired Blind Society.
The carving works well for them with its high contrast colors and tactile nature.

It is a rag-tag bunch of Artists, artisans, woodworkers, potters, painters, jewelry makers, candle makers, soap makers, leatherworkers, quilters, crocheters, bakers, beekeepers, jam makers, hot-sauce hustlers, pickle pirates, sourdough smugglers, flower farmers, plant peddlers, vintage vultures, antique ingénues, tie-dye tycoons, resin wranglers, charcuterie slingers, food-truck fugitives, craft-beer brewers, pallet pirates, tent squatters, chalkboard scribblers, people with Venmo, people who own thirteen folding tables, people who say they’re “just looking,” husbands carrying six shopping bags, dogs in bandanas... AND CATHOLICS!
