Happy FriYAY! 🎈

We made it to the last Friday of the month, and before we jump into June, I just wanted to check in and say THANK YOU.

Because of your bookings, referrals, shares, comments, and 5-star Google reviews, Event Designs by Sherry continues to grow.

What started as a passion has turned into a business that now requires a team behind the scenes to help bring your balloon dreams to life. This weekend, we’re getting together for a team meeting, and yes… I’m making the shirts myself! 😊

I’ve always believed that when you put love into your work, people can feel it. My hands have helped create thousands of balloon installations over the years, so it only felt right to create something special for the people helping me serve you.

And if you’ve noticed more videos, more personality, and maybe even a few TikTok trends coming soon… that’s because we’re growing and having a little fun along the way.

There’s something special about watching a space come alive through color 🎈

The Conyers Book Festival brought together families, readers, vendors, and the community for a day filled with creativity and connection, and we were honored to help add to that experience.

One thing we love about public events is that thousands of people get to interact with your work in real time.

A book festival should feel colorful, creative, and full of life the moment you walk in 📚✨

For the Conyers Book Festival, we had the opportunity to create balloon installations throughout the event to help transform the space into something welcoming, energetic, and photo-worthy for the community.

From the entrance arch to the branded installations inside, every setup was designed to match the excitement and creativity this event brings to Conyers each year.

Community events like this remind us that balloons are more than decor.

They help create experiences people remember 💛

Sometimes you have to say it out loud before you fully see it. Sometimes you have to sing through the uncertainty, praise through the waiting, and keep showing up even while things are still falling into place.

This video wasn’t planned. Just a real moment in the car, real joy, real faith, and a reminder that what’s meant for you will never miss you.

So going into this new week, speak life over yourself. Speak abundance. Speak growth. Speak peace. Speak favor.

Today is World Creativity Day, and honestly, creativity is so much more than making something pretty.

Creativity is standing in the middle of a park after the wind has knocked your entire setup down and deciding you are still going to find a way.

Creativity is looking at what is left, changing the plan, rebuilding, and making it work anyway.

Because being creative is not about perfection. It is about resilience. It is about problem-solving. It is about having the courage to keep showing up, even when things do not go the way you planned.

This arch was not the version I originally imagined.

But after everything, I think I love this version even more. Because it tells the real story.

Social media loves the finished product.

The smiling photo.
The perfect setup.
The comments that say, “Wow, this is beautiful.”

What you usually do not see is the phone call that comes before it.

“Your balloons are down.”

Last fall at Wheeler Park, the wind did not care how long this setup took. It did not care about the vision, the early morning, the sore back, the planning, or the fact that this was one of my favorite designs.

It knocked the whole thing down.

And for a second, I had a choice. I could cry, panic, call it a loss… or I could do what business owners do every single day. Figure it out.

Because being a business owner is not about pretending everything is always perfect. It is about what you do when it is not.

It is rebuilding when you are frustrated.
It is finding another way when the first plan falls apart.
It is showing up even when nobody would blame you for giving up.

And sometimes, it is being reminded that you are not in this alone.

Before I could even make it back, my favorite DJ, William Tolliver, saw what happened and called me. He stayed with it, helped however he could, and made sure I was not walking back into the chaos by myself.

That is the part people do not talk about enough. The village. The people who believe in you, support you, and want to see you win just as much as you do.

By the end of the day, the setup was back up. Different? Yes. Perfect? Maybe not. But real. And honestly, I am more proud of that version.

Because the real story is not that the wind knocked it down.

The real story is that we still got back up.

Also, shoutout to Wheeler Park. It has grown so much with the amphitheater, skate park, pickleball courts, and beautiful space for the community. As the weather warms up and everybody heads back outside, tag your favorite local park below. Maybe one day you will see our balloons there too. 🎈
