She was a true African-American trailblazer, social justice warrior, and my role model. Her passing this week broke my heart.
Help me honor Cheslie Kryst's life and impact by sharing this illustration I made in memory of her!

Stories at new levels. From storyboards to 3D Design. Here's a project I presented at Georgia Tech's Stem Conference in 2018. This project challenged me in ways never expected-- but totally worth it! Revisiting this work.

You are who you associate yourself with.

Even the most successful people believe this and use this angle to their advantage.

Check out my bio (and stories where I post consistently) here to learn more about me and some of my accomplishments and mission for your own research and transparency.

If you want to work with an artist or illustrator or anyone for your project, I always encourage you to do your own research to make the most valid decision for you!

In the end, it can only benefit you and educate you in the process of working with your desired artist.

To protect my work, I generally reserve my artwork to my private FB community members or special requestees. If interested on a more serious note, dm me or I'll have my assistant follow up with you.

My next book is in the making....

You're gonna love who this character is based off on. In my artwork and illustrations I like to include a bit of inspiration from real life. Sometimes I would include teachers, professors, or other figures in the foreground or background. I think people are always surprised when they see my illustrations and feel that it looks like someone! Isn't that the point of art--- to remind us of humanity?

In any case I want my artwork for books to be mindful, imaginative, vivid. Adding more detail to this.

Are you looking for an artist or illustrator to work with?

As an artist, I always encourage my potential partners or clients to do their own research and decide who would be best fit for you. That includes choosing an artist that you not only admire for their style, but partnering with an artist who's values and branding compliment yours for future leverage.
Here's 5 things you didn't know about me:

1. The fifth grade was the first time I ever had my artwork exhibited in a museum. It was placed in an old art museum in Downtown Frisco (now reconstructed), Texas, where I grew up, that was specially selected by my art teacher at the time.

2. My artwork have been featured in 2 notable places. One is the Frisco Heritage Museum when I was 14 years old in an art contest I won and received a cash prize at.

3. If I'm travelling, I sometimes peruse around the new city with my actual camera (Nikon). One time I was taking pictures casually by the canal in Amsterdam. I did this and ran into a model who was the top 4 contestants of 'The Face' of The Netherlands (modeling show like Project Runway).

4. I once created a Judaic artwork piece for a synagogue in Dallas that I painted in oil a couple of hours before an auction event. I hated and was embarrassed of it. The artwork sold for $150 later that night.

5. In 2013, I was granted an ambassador scholarship with the U.S. Congress and painted a few art pieces for diplomatic relations. I became the first black female artist of the German parliament (Der Bundestag)-American Congress partnership to have artwork displayed there, at. There it has remained for almost 7 years now at Luissenstrasse, Referat WI4 in Berlin, Germany, at the Reichstag.
