I failed. I was too busy having fun this weekend to post these shoutouts. Here's to Emme & Kiran and Samantha and Nick, both couples were married this weekend in two completely different styles - but both so incredibly perfect for them! Both couples were fantastic to work with and helped me stretch my creative muscles in the best ways.

Planning a 2027 wedding? Luminous Blue may be the color to know now.

Color forecasters are calling it Luminous Blue, a bold, cobalt-leaning shade that's showing up everywhere from runway to registry. And I get it. After a few years of every wedding leaning into the same soft neutrals, a real color feels like a relief. But bold doesn't have to mean loud, and that's exactly where I think this one gets fun to design.

I've worked with this exact family of blue before, in a letterpress envelope liner and wax seal, and it never once felt like too much. The trick is what you pair it with. Warm sand, terracotta, cream cotton paper, anything with a little warmth keeps a saturated blue feeling grounded instead of cold. It becomes the one bold decision in an otherwise refined, intentional suite, not decoration for its own sake.

You don't have to go all in either. Some of my favorite ways to use a color like this: as the envelope liner only, so it's a surprise when the invitation comes out. As the ribbon or wax seal, a single accent. Or just in the ink itself, so the paper stays neutral and the color lives in the words.

The new definition of luxury isn't more detail. It's more meaning.

For years, "luxury" in wedding stationery meant more, more foil, more layers, more embellishment. What I'm seeing now, and what I'm loving designing into 2026 and 2027 suites, is the opposite. Refined minimalism. A single monogram instead of a dozen motifs. Elevated printing styles on cotton paper that does the talking before anyone reads a word.

Quiet luxury isn't about doing less. It's about being more intentional with what stays. Every detail on a restrained suite has to earn its place, so what's left is the paper you can feel, the artwork that's actually yours, the typography that was chosen instead of defaulted to. That's what makes it feel personal and lasting instead of decorative.

This is the whole reason I love this work. I'm not decorating a stationery suite, I'm distilling your story down to what actually matters, then making sure it's beautiful and keepsake quality enough to hold onto long after the wedding.

Your Save the Date can do a lot more than simply tell your guests when to show up.

It can be the very first piece of the story.

A color palette, a floral detail, a custom illustration, a pattern, a type style, those early choices can become the thread that carries through your invitation suite, menus, programs, place cards, signage, and all the little paper details your guests see throughout the wedding day.

That’s one of my favorite parts of starting with a Save the Date. It gives us a chance to begin building the look of the celebration before the invitation ever goes in the mail.

And by the time the wedding day arrives, everything feels connected rather than collected.
